What are modifiers?

any word or word group that limits or qualifies (describes) another word or word group.

Adjectives, adverbs, phrases and clauses (that act as adjectives and adverbs)

Misplaced Modifiers

are so far from the term they modify

or so close to another term that

they could potentially modify

that they are unclear

Confusing:many wizards have been bitten by werewolves who wander dark forests at night.

Revised:Many wizards who wander dark forests at night have been bitten by werewolves
