Miami Music Week,

Remix Awards

RT30 nominee

 BILLBOARD Dance “#1”

charting, LODATO

by Jessica Tessene

One of the biggest things I love about Miami Music Week is the ability to discover and listen

to new artists. The 2nd Annual Remix Awards are a way for these new artists to shine

through while competing with some heavy hitters on the top 30 Remixes from the year. One

artist taking the electronic world by storm with his unique remixes is Music from RT30

nominee and BILLBOARD Dance “#1” charting, LODATO. Beginning at an early age,

LODATO’s love for House Music is what sets him apart from others. He is a creative

DJ/Producer that will continue to grow and help shape what house music needs now and

today.

This year, for the 2017 Miami Music Week Remix Awards, LODATO is doing just that.

Proving his worth in the sea of artists. LODATO is up for ve different Remix Awards this

time around. His unique remix of Twenty One Pilots song “Heathens” alone won three of the

nominations (Remix of the Year – Production, Best Bootleg, and Best Trap Remix), while

LODATO is up for the Remix Producer of the Year. His collaboration with Joseph Duveen is

also up for a nomination with the Best Down Tempo Turned Up with their remix of X

Ambassador’s song “Unsteady.”

After listening to some of his music through his soundcloud, I’m excited to see how he does

this year at the Remix Awards. LODATO is up against some heavy hitters in the electronic

music industry, and it will be rather interesting to see how he does this year. I guess only time

will tell on this prodigy of electronic music.
