Course Description
• MGT3303 is an introductory course in operations management
• It covers the basic managerial concepts and the analytical/quantitative tools used in the design, planning, operation and control of operation systems

Course Objectives
• To understand the role of operations management in business,
• To be able to analyse and discuss strategic operations decisions,
• To know how to apply standard operations management techniques, such as aggregate production planning, SPC, project management, etc.
• To appreciate how operations management techniques are applied in different contexts (manufacturing, service, transportation, public administration, etc.).
• To be able to recognise when a specific technique is relevant, and how it should be used.
