    WATERCOLORPALETTE

At M. Graham, we believe we have a responsibility to every artist that chooses

our color. It lives on their canvas. Its part o their art. So we honor their choice by

continually working to create the best color possible. We select the nest pigments. We

use only the very best vehicles. We take the time and expend the eort to make color

with greater clarity, superior working properties and perceptible vitality.

EXCEPTIONAL COLOR BEGINS WITH A SUPERIOR VEHICLE

We make our watercolors using Northwest honey. Preerred by artists or centuries,

honey with balanced amounts o gum Arabic and water creates a fuid binding

medium in which were able to disperse exceptional amounts o pigment. The higher

pigment loads provide greater color saturation and richness or a complete range o

perormance rom delicate tints to dark, concentrated color.

Because honey absorbs water rom the atmosphere our color will not harden in the

tube or dry out on your palette. Honey is a natural biocide, reeing us rom reliance

on preservatives. Alive with strength and intensity, it is easily diluted or smooth, con-

trolled washes rom the palest wisps o color to deeper, more intense darks.

THE VI RTUE OF OUR ARTISTS QUALITY GOUACHE

Our gouache is pure color without chalk or adulterants that degrade the appearance

o the color when dry, which allows it to be used as is or in conjunction with transparent

watercolor. Since gouache is another orm o watercolor, it can be used by itsel or in

the same way as transparent color in dilution or applied thickly when a fat, uniorm

or more textured look is desired. While gouache has been used in many orms or

hundreds o years, the nature o our color allows or the widest range o versatility

rom ne art to designer projects.

    From the pigments

    quality control is
