• On July 1, 2014, MFMP converted the previous Florida specific commodity codes to an internationally accepted and standardized code set known as the United Nations Standard Products and Services Classification (UNSPSC).

• The standardization provides the ability to better target vendors to receive solicitation notifications and reduce the effort for vendors to provide catalogs to the State of Florida.

• Vendors are recommended to select codes at the commodity level if available.

• Commodity codes may be chosen during initial vendor registration and added/removed at any time.

• Vendors will view/edit their commodity codes in the Vendor Information Portal.

• Log in to your VIP vendor registration account https://vendor.MyFloridaMarketPlace.com/ using your registered username and password.

Codes Associated to VIP Accounts

Add or update commodity codes to your account by selecting “View/Edit Commodity Codes” from the drop down box in the top right-hand corner of the page.

View/Edit Commodity Codes

Scroll down and view your “Current Commodity Codes” to verify that they are correct or if they need to be updated.

View Commodity Codes

Remove commodity codes by selecting the box next to the undesired codes and clicking “Remove Selected Commodity Codes.”

Remove Commodity Codes

• Select “Add Commodity Code” to add any new UNSPSC commodity codes for additional goods/services you provide.

• You may search for codes by description, code number, or category.

Add Commodity Codes

• When available, select UNSPSC codes at the commodity level codes (otherwise, select codes at the class level).

• You can select multiple commodity codes within a particular UNSPSC class level.

• It is important to choose commodity codes that match goods and services your company provides, because they are how you will receive notifications* from VBS and Sourcing of upcoming solicitation opportunities.

*This assumes you have designated on your vendor account that you would like to receive solicitation notifications.
