Abstract:Thewaterfootprinttheoryprovidesanewresearchdirectionforsolvingthewatershortageproblem.Basedonthewaterfootprinttheory,thispaperusedthedatafromNingxiaStatisticalYearbookandNingxiaWaterResourcesBulletintocalculateandanalyzetheblue,greenandgreywaterfootprintsofthemaincropsinGuyuan,Ningxia,from2009to2017,withCROPWAT8.0software.Theresultsshowedthatthebluewaterfootprintacountedforthehighestproportion,thegreenwaterfootprintcamesecond,andthegreywaterfootprintwastheleast.ItindicatedthatthewaterusedforcropproductioninGuyuanCitywasmainlybluewater,andsupplementedbygreenwater.Althoughthegraywaterfootprintisrelativelysmall,itisincreasingyearbyyear.Itisrecommendedtoadjustthelocalcropplantingpatternsaccordingtothespecificconditionsofwaterresources,inordertoincreasetheutilizationrateofgreenwater,andreducetheuserateofnitrogenfertilizer,andthereforetoachievegreaterbenefitsfromlimitedwaterresourcesandmeetfoodsecurityandwaterecologicalsecurityneeds.Keywords:waterresources;waterfootprint;maincrop;GuyuanCityofNingxia
