• Doors shall be a hollow slab door with a solid hardboard cover. Lauan or Luan covered slab doors are not an approved product.
• INTERIOR DOORS .1 New doors shall be solid panel hardboard covered doors complete with
three hinges and knob hardware installed. MRHA shall supply knob hardware. Install new doors complete with new wood jambs in laundry room, bathroom and bedroom #2.

Fibreboard (MDF)..." from scope of work.4. As noted in Part 1 General of Interior Painting .1 Surface preparation and field testing

The following is a Supplementary Price and is NOT to be included in your Bulk Sum Price
THE CONTRACTOR AGREES THAT THE FOLLOWING IS THE PRICE REQUESTED AS SUPPLEMENTARY PRICING NOT INCLUDING TAXES:
ITEM SUPPLEMENTARY PRICE Install HRV system on all three levels. System shall be designed and installed by a bona fide HVAC company with 5 years minimum experience. Pipes shall be metal with all pipe connections screwed and taped. Insulated flexible pipes in attic shall be covered with attic insulation. Venting shall be installed at the back of unit with metal vents through exterior wall. Install dedicated outlet for HVAC unit. Install drain hose to ABS piping from laundry tub. Approved product: Lifebreath 205 MAX complete with Digital Control Display mounted on main level. Balancing report shall be provided to MRHA’s Project Manager.

• QUESTION: As a new renovation where the Contractor is responsible for the HRM permit, thelatest NS building code requires compliance with 3.8.4 Adaptable Housing Requirements. Thiswill require modifications to wall framing to permit installation of 900 mm doors as well as anentrance door with a wheelchair acceptable threshold, modified plug and outletpositions. Please advise if this is the intent of this Contract.
ANSWER: This work is not included in this scope.
• QUESTION: Are the block walls to be covered with a framed, drywall finish? If so, is it only forthe main floor and second floor? Details? Please clarify.
ANSWER: Existing concrete block walls shall receive new 1 x 4 @ 16 O.C wood strapping withTapcon screws or approved equal fasteners finished with new ½’’ regular drywall, taped,finished and painted.
• QUESTION: What is the minimum acceptable length of kitchen cabinets? Uppers? Lowers?
ANSWER: As per reference drawings in Addendum 3 kitchen cabinets shall match existinglengths.
• QUESTION: Is there a requirement to install and duct a new range hood to the exterior wall?
ANSWER: This work is not included in the scope of work.
• QUESTION: How many shelves per closet? What is the plywood shelf thickness or can MDF beused?
ANSWER: One shelf per closet. Three quarter thickness select grade plywood. MDF is notpermitted. Several shelves in any linen closet.
• QUESTION: The Cabinet info states: “Cabinets to be natural oak flat panel framed cabinets”Are you looking for an flat oak plywood door with edge banding or a shaker style cabinet (5piece) with a flat panel insert?ANSWER: Shaker style or framed door with flat panel insert.
• QUESTION: The glides for the drawers are not mentioned. What type of glides are to be used?Standard white glides, self-closing, etc.ANSWER: Drawer units to be on all sides, suspended on Blum Tandem 560H model or WurthProSeries drawer slides.

MRHA will supply the following, (Contractor shall pick up materials at 12 IndigoWalk, Spryfield) Kitchen taps, Bathtub taps, Laundry taps, Kitchen taps & basinsink taps, Bathtub Surround and required Adhesive & Caulking, Toilet, InteriorPassage & Privacy Door Knobs ,Door Stoppers, Curtain Rods, Tissue & TowelBar Holders, Lighting Fixtures, Laundry Tub, Kitchen Sink, Medicine Cabinet,Appliances, Steel Entrance Doors.
2. Delete from Scope of Work: New exterior plug and cover.
3. A construction Core key is available at our site office located at 15 Green Road,Dartmouth from 8:30 to 4:30. Key can be signed out and returned same day.
4. Delete from scope of work: 200 Amp Service
5. Add to scope of work: 100 Amp Service.
6. Delete from scope of work: Contractor shall remove all existing underlayment toOSB subfloor.
7. Add to scope of work: Any existing floor tile shall remain in areas excludingbathroom. Bathroom floor shall be removed to floor joists and rebuild with newsubfloor and underlayment. All areas shall receive new underlayment and vinylflooring as per specifications.
