About me….
Paras KhadkaDang, Rapti, NepalB.E. ( mechanical engineering), KU (1994-1998)Presently- A graduate student of mechanical Engineering at KUI’m married- we are 4 members in my family (my mother, my wife and a son)
My Experience
Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training-as Mechanical instructor
- as Head of the Department, Mechanical
Skills for Employment Project (Nepal Gov/ Asian Development Bank(ADB) funded project)
- As Regional Project Manager (Mid and Far western Region)
- My Professional Visits representing Nepal Brunei , Thailand, Japan
Let’s do an activity….(5 minutes)Make a pair with one of your friends Get a paper sheetAbout you:
Write your name and State two things you think others
would be surprised to know about you.About your pair:
Write your friends name and State two things that you feel that your pair doesn’t know about himself/herself
Now exchange the paper sheet with your pair..
Keep it safe… don’t lose….
More Keys to SuccessConsistent Effort Don’t miss any classes
( attendance matters)Focus on the concepts (there
are no shortcuts)Be participative Keep in regular
communication with teacher?
Reminder Make best use of learning resources
( KU library , internet, etc) There is no single text book
recommended for this subject Any books on METROLOGY are good
references. However few prescribed references are:
1. R.K. Jain, “Metrology”, Khanna Publications, New Delhi
2. Sharpe, “ Metrology”, ELBS3. Hume, “ Metrology”, McDonald & Co.
Make consistent effort
I hope that you can all make it….
