METHOD STATEMENT FOR PAINTING WORKS

Work Scope : The work scope shall apply to all building works

Materials : Paint (Emulsion paint, acrylic paint and gross enamel) as per approval brand and color

scheme

Handling & Storage : All paint to be n covered storage

Equipment & tools : Brush and roll brush

Works Methodology:-

1. Color scheme and paint manufacture approval shall be obtained before works is

commenced

2. Protect appropriate fittings and other surface. Do not stand on finished works, fixtures

of fitting to gain access.

3. Before applying coating, ensure moisture content of substrate will not adversely affect

the completed works. As per manufactures requirement all specification.

4. Check for surface irregularities, ensure surface to be painted are cleaned, remove

mortar and plaster splashes and avoid excessive wetting.

5. Keep all brushes n clean and serviceable condition and thoroughly clean out brushes

and equipment before applying different materials of different colors

6. Mix paint well by stirring evenly giving a continuous film, free form runs, brush marks

and other imperfections

7. If primer is required, works primer well into surface, joints and angles and on timber

into end grain.
