The types of operating principle of ammeter are the rectifier type and the moving irontype, and the rectifier type ammeter has a merit of measuring small current valuecompared with moving iron type.

AC Ampere Meter

To deal with current exceeding 5A, use a 5A(1A) meter in combination with a C.T. A.C ammeter is used with a current transfomer externally mounted, and it is noted that primary current of a current transformer and a full scale of the meter are identical when used.If the circuit voltage exceeds 500V even when the current is less than 5A use a 5A(1A) meter in combination with a C.T to ensure insulation.The scale range of ammeter for motor circuit is extended up to 150%~500% of rated current,so that these are proteced from the impact of the starting current and ensured of long life.Am expanded scale has the normal maximum reading(upper limit of effective measurement range) at the app. 65% point on the scale, and the rest of it (65%~100%) is devoted toextension reading. (tolerance of extension area : 5%)

For higher ranges than 5A, use external shunt with a 50mV(60mV) instrument.When D.C ammeter is used with a shunt, it is noted that a full scale and a terminalvoltage(50mV, 60mV) of the ammeter are same as the rated primary current and secondary voltage of the shunt respectively.Use any leadwire of which resistance is less then 0.05 in total.If the shunt lead resistance is indefinite, the meters may be set up with a availableresistor(V.R) for sensitivity adjustment.The shunt should be connected to the negative side linc.

AC Volt Meter

For higher ranges than 300V, use potential transformer(P.T) with a 150V A.C voltmeter. But the voltmeter of 600V is able to supply by order of customer.When lettering the voltage ratio on voltmeter, the meters for 3phase 4wire are lettered as likeas the meters for 3phase 3wire. namely on 3phase 4wire in case of the indicating for line-to-line voltage by line-to- ground voltage, and line-to-line voltage by line-to-line voltage, he meters are not wited the 3Full scale of voltmeter when use the P.T, the standard calibration value of voltmeters are 150V and/or 300V but, the full scale of voltmeters are indicated the 30Kv, 9000V, 4500V and 600V etc.

This meter of complex type of analogue and digital type has a peak for memory ofmaximum instaneous value of the transient voltage orcurrent during the shortcircuit or ground fault on the transmission and distribution lines.

1. Normal voltage and current will be indicated by an along needle and then the peakvalue will be indicated on digital FAD(3Digital).

2. Demand of peak value will be indicated as memory (3Digital) the max one at only of many peak values.

1. The LED display meter input value. To confirm the setting value amanual working condition is obtained by pushing the button as follow.

Other displays except input value return to the lnput mode after 6 secs.

2. Operating value and operating time setting by pressing thebutton no and for 3secs at the same time, the setting mode will be entered the LED flashes then press

the button no to change the flashing value of the display anduse the button no to increase the count of it. After setting the input value, press the button no and for 3secs at the sametime to save the value of selection. (Display will be shown as below)

3. Meter Relay Operating This meter is able to set the time 0 to 99 seconds. If the input value is lower than low setting value or higher thanhigh setting value, the relay contacts are operated after presetting time.(During presetting time the LED or flashes, then afterpresetting time the LED is lightened and its replay is operated)When the auxiliary power is connected the initial time, low relaywill not operate without an input value which is higher than thelow setting value at first.(lt is to poeventing the operating therelay without input value at the initial)For turning off low relay operating set 0 to the low setting value.High setting value should be set higher than the input maximum value of meter to be off the high relay operating.

If a manual operation is not obtained for 6 secs while the LED isflashing, the LED will be returned to the input mode.
