I have had a veryhard time from thechemo. It was veryvery hard on meand I have notrecovered from thechemo-fog due tothe chemo crossingthe brain/bloodbarrier (as theynow admit it does).I fatigue easily andhave a lot of pain inmy body. I haveperipheralneuropathy andlingering fingernailissues. Iexperience'phantom' smells ofthings which arenot there and'phantom' crawlyfeelings all whichare so realistic thatat this point I stillhave to look andmake sure there isnothing there. Initially I refusedtreatment, had alumpectomy andwent for 80,000mgVit C and ozone IVfor 5 months. Aclinical studystrongly advisedchemo due to thehigh rate of MBCreturns. I continuedwith 80,000mg VitC IV 6x/month(480,000mg/month)while undergoing 4months dense dosechemo. Also took afull supply ofvitamins,Resveratrol. I nowonly do Vit C IVs acouple times amonth but stillingest vitamins.

I have eliminateddairy, gluten, andsugar as much aspossible. Only eatorganic red meat ornot at all. Focus onlamb, organicchicken or fish.Lots of beans,greens, vegetablesand fruit. I powerwalk over 1 hour to2 hours/day, rain orshine.

I was fortunate as Ihad no reallynegativeexperiences orillnesses duringtreatment. I hadchemo, took myanti-nausea pillsfaithfully, myvitamins andwalked miles andmiles. Other thanno hair I lookedfabulous and trulyfelt amazing. Oh,and my tastebudswere poorlyaffected so everyevening beforedinner I took aglass of red wineand my appetitewas remarkablyimproved. I had alittle bit ofneuropathy but itwas quicklyalleviated withwalking. 3

Even though I havebeen with canceron and off for 5years-ish, I am newto MBC. I'mwondering howmany are like meand did not start offas metaplastic, butchanged like mycancer did. My Dr.at MD A triedCarbo/gemcitabine,then eribulin, thennavelbine, then inAugust 2013, Istarted a trial ofavastin,temsirolimus, & doxil. I hadseveral months ofgood response withminimal sideeffects, and a fewweeks ago therewas diseaseprogression, so I'moff of it. Looking forthe next trialbecause I'm notgoing any where!Feel free to ask meabout anything Iwasn't clear on.Glad to share. 3 6 months - 1 year

Tumour respondedreally well to FECchemo shrinkingfrom 6.5 cm tounder 2 cm in 4doses. Once Istarted taxotere thetumour grew to 3.5cm in 5 weeks.
