METAL ROOF WATERPROOFING

Description: Davco K10 PU Plus is a premixed flexible Polyurethane waterproofing membrane that can be applied directly from the container. Applied in a thick layer, it forms a waterproof, flexible film which adapts to the surface changes caused by tension or expansion.

� Uses: Used for waterproofing of metal roofs, external walls of old buildings, RCC roof, gutters, bituminous surface and asbestos roofs.

� Davco K10 PU Plus– 3 Layer System: Davco K10 PU plus 3 layer system forms a micro porous membrane that waterproofs external surfaces from water seepage and protects it from deterioration due to carbonation, acid or chemical attack and any other type of environment pollution.

� Coverage: Davco K10 PU Plus membrane –approx. 1.8-2 kg/ for 2 coat at film (dry) thickness 0.9mm –1mm

� Procedure for Use of Waterproofing System on Metal Roof:

DAVCO K10 PU PLUS is a viscous and high build elastomeric Polyurethane co-polymer

waterproofing coating recommended for water leakages repair works on Metal Roofs.

� Surface Preparation

• Ensure that the substrate is sound, clean and free from irregularities, sharp

projections, loose particles, oil and contaminants. Old coatings which are stable

and cannot be removed can remain

• All substrates to be waterproofed must be sound and cleaned by

mechanical abrading to remove flaky rust, dust and oil contaminants and

increase adhesion if applied on existing surfaces.

• All oil / grease stained areas shall be cleaned by organic solvents to remove oil,

grease stains.

• All fasteners should be checked and replaced or ret

� Shelf life of K10 PU Plus:

Davco K10 PU Plus membrane has a shelf life of at least 12 months when in original unopened container and stored in cool dry place.

� Note:

• Coverage may vary depending on the site conditions and application loss due to

substrate profile, climatic conditions and excessive film build etc. • Drying time depends upon the climatic conditions such as temperature, relative

humidity and air movement.

� Other precautions:

• During installation of Davco K10 PU PLUS, please ensure the substrate is dry.

• All Penetration points must be sealed properly prior to installation of waterproofing system. Please refer to the method statement for detailed methodology.
