1/ Preamble The proposed house is adapted for any region from tropical to temperate countries and can withstand earthquakes and hurricanes. The shape of the roof is issued from traditional houses and can be adapted to any one as needed.

The concept introduces light elements that can be manipulated and erected by one, two or three people without any heavy machinery needed.

Material used for structural components have eliminated wood to allow this house to be termite proof and resistant to mould and moisture if well ventilated.

2/ Technique used

2.1 Structure The structure is composed of galvanised cold-formed steel for the walls and trusses. All profiles are manufactured by roll forming and assembling done with galvanised bolts and self-tapping screws. Only 7 preferred profiles are used as follow:

- Omega profiles o Large ones of 80 x 77 x 1.25mm with 15mm lips for:

§ Stud for external wall § Top and bottom of trusses

o Small ones of 80 x 52 x 1.25mm with 15mm lips for: § Purling

- U profiles: o Of 78 x 43 x 1.25mm for:

§ Top and bottom of wall panels § Top and bottom of large openings for windows and doors.

o Of 52 x 43 x 1.25mm for: § Eave purling § Ridging § Ventilation bash-bord.

o Of 150 x 35 x 1.25mm for: § Bash board.

- Small C profiles of 47 x 47 x1.25mm for: § Vertical and oblique beams inside trusses

- Strap profiles of 160 x1.25mm for: § Horizontal and vertical cross bracing. § Note this strap of 160mm is use also for the fabrication of small C

and U. All the profiles are assembled - In factory (panels and trusses) - On site to erect the structure - With 10mm SI bolts and 4mm self-tapping screws.



- The gypsum board provider also provides the ceiling and eave profiles in galvanised 0.5mm thickness.

For the porch, normal RHS profiles are welded together and bolted to wall panels. For the basic drawings everything is subdivided into multiples of 305mm and is adapted to receive American products with metric measurements.

2.2 External walls

2.21 Concrete tiles The external wall is composed of prefabricated concrete tiles of 609 x 609 x 38.5mm

bolted with 4 x 8mm bolts onto the vertical Omega structure. Polypropylene fibres and a 5mm frame reinforce the concrete, which supports the metallic inserts for the bolts. Each tile has a 1mm gap and end treated to allow a 9mm joint.

2.22 Facade finish Water proofing and finish of the external wall are done by a process as follows:

- After 9mm backer rod, joint treatment with a flexible fibrous product provided by PRB (France).

- Total surfacing with the same product as above. - White primer. - Surface finishing by the painter at the end of construction with special flexible and

waterproofing plaster chosen from the PRB collection.

2.3 Openings

2.31 Windows and vents We propose external swinging aluminium window. It is with a single transparent glass.

The house ventilation is done by mechanical ventilation with one exhaust fan in attic and one automatic air control entrance of 30m3/h for each dry room (Living and bedrooms).

Attic ventilation is done by 2 painted metallic grids.

2.32 Doors The entrance doors are 915 x 2040 x 35mm wooden with an external protection (steel

sheeting). Doors are equipped with 2 x 40mm hinges and one American lock.

2.33 Frames All external and internal frames are aluminium. These are directly fastened by self-

tapping screws on the vertical studs in the panel for the entrance doors. The external window frames are equipped with burglar proofing in 12mm horizontal

squares and 10mm vertical diam bars. This security protection allows the finishing of the house without too many thefts of material.

2.4 Roofing The roofing consists of corrugated or gable « aluzinc » lacquered sheets. Fastening is done with self-tapping screws with gasket as follows: - Eaves and ridging every 250mm (maximum) - Other places every 500mm maximum on the purling.

Flashing done with the same type of sheeting covering all ridging and hips.



3/ Our proposal

For export, the house kit proposed shall be erected on a concrete base which includes: - Foundations - All the service connections for drainage, potable water and electricity. - The access for the 40” container. The container will be used as site storage during

the erection for the security of the imported material. When the house is closed and secured, remaining items can be transferred to the house and the container returned.

- One electricity site supply for hand tools (12mm Percussion drills and screw drivers).

The Kit includes the following parts:

3.1/ English assembly manual 3.2/ Assembly drawings 3.3/ Structural components Wall panels with frames and bracings (about 12/13 panels for 100m2 Gross area

house). Concrete tiles with bolts and washers. Hilti 10 x 65mm anchorage as needed. Trusses, half and cut trusses. (Note: The maximum height for truss is 2.59m) All Omega and U purling are in 5.80m lengths in galvanised steel. Supply of covering sheeting. All components for bash board and cable connection (if required). Two vents for the hip roof. All assembly screws and bolts. Door (s) with hinges and lock as described above. Column(s) and beams for the porch structure in RHS already cut and ready to be

welded on site.



3.4/ Container loading Container loading is done to: - Balance the load inside - Provide availability of component in the right order for the erection.

3.4/ Finishing materials a) Outside

Gypsum board (Green quality) for ceiling and eaves Cartridge(s) of silicone for the panel’s peripheral joint b) Inside Ceiling furring directly fixed to the bottom of trusses with screw framers. Partition studs and channels for 89mm finish partition. Gypsum board of “green quality” 1.22 x 2.44 x 13mm for ceiling, partition and

external walls. For each bathroom 2 boards of 1.22 x 2.44 x 13mm concrete fibre. Map and strap for joint treatment.

3.5/ Technical assistance

For the construction of the first house we can provide the assistance of one technician under agreed conditions. 4/ Not included in our kit for complete house construction.

All materials for the realisation of the reinforced concrete base. With the great difference between local regulations and practice we cannot provide the

following: - Internal joinery (doors and frames, hinges, locks and skirting) Without pre study. - Electricity (Boxes, sockets, switches and cables) - Plumbing (Appliances, fixtures and pipes) - Floor and wall tiling - Primer and paint
