Crop

Wheat Sowing / Emergence

The suitable wheat varieties available for sowing are PBW 373, Narendra 2036, U.P 2425 and DBW 16. Complete rest wheat sowing now. Keep in mind that sufficient moisture should be present in the field. Sow wheat in unirrigated areas.

Mustard Sowing / Emergence

Second irrigation in Rai (Mustard) to be done after sowing of 55-65 days.

Vegetable Pea

Sowing / Emergence

1st irrigation in pea to be done other 35-40 days of sowing.

Garlic Sowing / Emergence

Do irrigation is garlic as and when requires, apply 75 kg/ha as First top dressing this 40 days of sowing and the same to be repeated second top dressing other 60 days of sowing.

Linseed Sowing / Emergence

Use fertilizer according to soil testing and gist. In the absence of soil testing facility apply 120kg Nitrogen, 60kg Phosphate and 60kg Potash in inter rows or apply soil treatment during last sowing time.

Varuna, NarendraRai 8501, Rohoni are recommended verities for timely sowing where as Aashirwaad and Vardan are appropriate for late sowing.

Green Gram

General For treatment of yellow powdery mildew disease of Mung and Black gram (Urd) 3 to 4 sprays of Dimethoate 30 EC or MethylODemeton 25 EC 1 liter dissolved in 1000 litre water at an interval of 1015 days according to requirement.

Soyabean Sowing / Emergence

In Soyabean at flowering and pod formation stages provide irrigation during absence of rainfall.

Brinjal General Start intercultural operation and ensure no water lodging in Brinjal, Chilies, Okra etc.

Onion Sowing / Emergence

Keep Onion transplanting distance at 15x10 cm.

Sunflower General Apply 40 kg nitrogen (87 Kg urea) at top dressing after sowing of 25-30 day of sunflower.

Capsicum Sowing / Emergence

During preparation of field for cauliflower apply organic manure of rotten cow dung (200- 250 Quintal) or Compost (80 Quintal) in soil whereas application of 40kg Nitrogen 60 kg phosphate and 40kg Potash during last sowing operation is advised for enhancing soil fertility.

Tomato Sowing / Emergence

Sowing of lesser yield verities of Tomato and cole cabbage seeds in nursery is advised.

Radish Sowing / Emergence

Use 6-8 kg/ha seed rate for radish sowing.

Aonla General Spray Blitox 3 gm /ltr of water for the protection of fruit retuning in Anola.

Banana Transplant/ Pest control

Farmers advised that if, its time, Use healthy and disease free rhizome for banana plantation and use 3 month old rhizome.

Litchi Transplant/ Pest control

Spray Blitox 0.3% (3 gm/l of water) for protection of red dust disease and shooty moulds in litchi.

Mango Flowering/ Pest control

Spray Blitox 0.3% (3 gm/litr of water) for protection of Red dust disease in Mango.

Live Stock

Cow General Give B-Complete before and after drinking of vermicide drug.

Wheat Sowing / Emergence

Farmers of the area are advised to use good quality wheat seeds viz., PBW-343, H.D. 3226, H.D. 2967, ND-1012, etc. for the sowing of wheat & start field preparation.

Mustard Sowing / Emergence

Sowing of rabi season crops viz., Potato, Chickpea, Pea, Mustard, etc. should be done.

Brinjal General In present weather conditions termites may damage crops and vegetables in the present weather. Farmers are advised to spray Chlorpyriphos 20 EC @ 4 ml/litre of water with irrigation water. Keeping present weather in view, farmers are advised to monitor their fields regularly. Spray of Imidacloprid 17.8 % SC@ 1.0 ml / 3 litre of water is recommended against white flies and other sucking pests in all crop and vegetables when sky remains clear.

Tomato General In present weather conditions termites may damage crops and vegetables in the present weather. Wheat Sowing / Emergence

Prepare fallow fields for sowing of wheat crop and arrange improved seeds and fertilizers. Improved varieties - Irrigated conditions - (HD 3226), (HD 2967), (HD 3086), (HD 2733), (HD 2851), for 2 irrigation condition – K 1317. The quantity of seed should 100 kg per hectare. Which fields affected by termites, use chlorpyriphos 20 EC @ 5 liters per hectare with irrigated water. Apply fertilizer doses according to soil test based or the quantity of nitrogen,

phosphorus and potash fertilizers should be 120, 50 and 40 kg per hectare.

Mustard Sowing / Emergence

As per weather forecast, Farmers are advised to start sowing of rabi crops like mustard, field pea, lentil, linseed etc in the month of October under suitable moisture condition. New released varieties should be used for sowing of crops. Suitable varieties are as: Mustard - Giriraj, RH 749, Urvashi, Maya, Ashirwad, Pitambari, Field pea - IPFD4-9, IPFD10-12, Prakash, Vikas, Lentil - IPL316, KLB320, Linseed - Mau Azad 1, Mau Azad 2, Parvati etc. If there is a deficiency of sulpher in the soil, apply 20 kg sulpher per ha at the end of last ploughing. Before sowing, be sure to take proper moisture in the soil.

Vegetable Pea

Sowing / Emergence

Farmers are advised to sowing should be completed without any delay of vegetable pea, otherwise yields are badly affected. Before sowing farmers are advised to ensure optimum soil moisture for better seed germination. Seed treatment must be done before sowing of seeds. Recommended cultivars: - Arkil, Azad Pea 1, Azad Pea 3.

Chick pea Sowing / Emergence

Sowing should be done without any delay of chick pea crop. Before sowing, be sure to proper moisture in the soil. 60-80 kg seed for small and medium sized grains and 80- 100 kg for larger grain varieties of chick pea should be apply in the sowing. 30-35 cm line to line distance should be maintained. Variety of Kabuli: Pusa 267, Pusa 1003, Pusa chamatkar (B.G.1053); Medium size varieties: JG14, R.B.G.202, R.B.G.203, C.235, Pusa 246, P.B.G.1, Pusa 372. Seed should be treated with Rhizobium and PSB culture.

Cauliflower

Sowing / Emergence

Transplanting of mature seedlings of cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli and tomato may also be done in raised bed. Recommended spacing should be maintained. Nursery preparation should be started for late crop which mature in December or January.

Chilli Sowing / Emergence

In chilli and tomato fields, uproot the plants which is affected by viral diseases and bury them in the ground. If the plants are largely affected, spray imidacloprid @ 0.3 ml per liter of water for control of vector.

Green Gram

Sowing / Emergence

Pick the matured pods of green gram and black gram crop as early as possible. After picking of pods, plant should be cultivated in the field. Field preparation should be done for sowing of rabi crops mainly Toria and Mustard. Use good quality seed for sowing of crops.

Fenugreek Vegetative Sowing should be completed without any delay of fenugreek, coriander, spinach & garlic. Before sowing, be sure to take proper moisture in the soil. Improved varieties of garlic: G-1, G-41, G-50, G-282. Well decomposed organic manure and phosphate fertilizer should apply in the field.

Potato Sowing / Prepare the fallow field for Potato cultivation. Treat the potato seed with pensiquiron 25 ml/quintal.

Emergence Recommended Varieties of Potato - Kufri Sindhuri, Kufri Chandramukhi, Kufri Jyoti, Kufri Badshah, Kufri Bahar, Kufri Ashoka, Kufri Pukhraj, Kufri Arun, Kufri Pushkar, Kufri Shailja, Kufri Chipsona-1, Kufri Chipsona-2, Kufri Chipsona-3, Kufri Surya, Kufri Khyati, Kufri Frysona are the popular varieties of Potato under cultivation.

Lemon Flowering/ Pest control

As per weather forecast, farmers are advised that there is rapidly spread of canker disease in rainy season in citrus species. The affected leaves and twigs are destroyed by breaking, after that, spray of solution of @ 180 grams of copper oxychloride and @ 6 grams of streptocycline in 60 litres of water.

Aonla Flowering/ Pest control

Use Blitox 3 gm/lt. of water to control of fruit returing in aonla.

Mango Flowering/ Pest control

This is the best time for plantation of Guava, Mango, Jackfruit and lime new orchard.

Live Stock

Buffalo General Cattle sheds should be kept dry as far as possible. Balanced diet (green fodder 15- 20 kg straw and flour , mustard cake, mineral mixture or rice bran 2-3 kg) per day should be given to the buffaloes and cows so that milk production should not affected . Farmers are advised to use green fodder mixed with wheat straw. Keep animals in shaded place , vaccination against HS disease and provide green fodder, fresh and clean water three times in a day. Using deworming in cows, buffalo, goats, and sheep’s to control of internal paracites . Cattle and poultry shed must be proper ventilated and provide proper feed and bathing.

Goat General As per weather forecast, Farmers are advised to vaccinate the goat to control PPR disease.

Chick General To protect chickens from parasites give mixture of piprazine with water. Vaccinate the chicks at 7 days (F1) and at 6 weeks with R2B. Vaccinate the poultry birds to prevent Rani khet disease. (First F-1 in age of 7 days & second R2B in age of 8 weeks). Turn the poultry shed bed timely when it wet and apply lime to dry it. Provide mineral mixture, fresh and clean water to poultry birds.

Before sowing, soil testing for sulfur should be done and in deficient areas 20 kg sulfur per hectare should be applied at last ploughing. Before sowing farmers are advised to ensure optimum soil moisture for better seed germination. Recommended cultivars:- Varuna, Kranti, Narandr rai(N.D.R.8501) Narandr agate rai-4,Narandra sarso-2 . Seed rate: - 5.0 kg per ha. Moisture level in the soil should be appropriate for proper germination otherwise apply pre-sowing irrigation. Before sowing seeds should be treated with Captan @ 2-2.5 g/ kg of seeds. Line sowing is beneficial. In nonspreading varieties, row to row spacing should be 30 cm and in spreading cultivars spacing should be 45-50 cm. After germination, plant to plant spacing should be maintained at 12-15 cm by thinning.

Cauliflower

Potato Sowing / Emergence

Sow early varieties of potato Kufri Ashoka, Kufri Chandramukhi, Kufri Jawahar from 10 October and Kufri Bahar, Kufri Pukhraj from 15 to 20 October. Use 100 to 150 kg nitrogen, 80 to 100 kg phosphorus 100-150 kg potash per hectare at the time of sowing. About 20 to 25 quintals of seeds are required for sowing 1 hectare of potatoes.

Lobia Vegetative Pusa soft, Pusa Basmati garima is a good species for sowing cowpea. For a good crop of cowpea, 20 to 25 per hectare - dung or compost with manure, giving 40 kg nitrogen 50 kg phosphate 50 kg potash at the time of sowing will be sufficient.

Sugarcane Sowing/ Emergence

The appropriate time for sowing of sugarcane in the autumn is October month. Use the new crop sugarcane for sowing. Use the sugarcane varieties CO 0238 and Kosha 07250 with trench method. Sow in a distance of 90 centimeters in drains and do cocropping of potato rapeseed or lentils. Sowing one hectare of sugarcane will require 60 to 70 quintals of seed. Increase this quantity every year in plants aged 10 years and above, use 50 kg of cow dung, 500 grams of nitrogen, 250 grams of phosphorus, 500 grams of potash per plant. Use 0.4 percent zinc sulphate if signs of zinc deficiency appear.
