The new year always brings a sense of fresh hope for fresh beginnings. Fresh starts are the promise and hope

God offers-- new birth in Christ, cleansing of sin, turning

a new leaf in your walk with Jesus-- the promise of a new day. “The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mer-

cies never cease.

Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” (Lamentations 3:22, 23)

I want to challenge you to start afresh in:

Your personal daily time in the Word and in prayer

Your family daily time in Word and in prayer

Removing all barriers (“good” and bad) in your walk with God (ask the Holy Spirit to show you specific areas in

your life that do this, then get rid of them, limit them, do whatever it takes so they quit being a hindrance in your

relationship with the Lord)

Your commitment to worship with other believers on Sun-days

Your involvement in a regular Bible study & community--

Sunday school, BodyLife home group, Precept, small group, etc.

May you experience a daily freshness in your walk with

our Lord Jesus this year.

Be in prayer for our ladies as they go on their annual Re-

plenish Ladies Retreat. Be in prayer also for Marissa Eugenio, a lady we work with closely in southern Philip-

pines. She oversees the church planting teams under

BOLFI (Bridge of Love Foundation, Inc.). She will be our guest speaker at our Missions Conference February 17-

19.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARE YOUR BLESSINGS!

Thank you for your generosity in the special of-ferings to aid those in Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro who were devastated by the flooding on Dec. 17th. Donations now total $6758.00 The death toll has climbed to nearly 1500 and many are still missing. Thousands have been left homeless. 54,000 people are in evacuation cen-tres around the affected area, while thousands of others are staying with friends and relatives, but all are in need of assistance.

Government officials estimate 600,000 have been effected by the natural disas-ter. Dec. 28th, fresh flooding in the towns of Barobo and Bislig, San Francisco, and Va-lencia have caused thousands more to be evacuated from their homes.
