The Greater Lakes Association of REALTORS® MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT As we begin our new fiscal year, I want to thank the leadership team and staff for all of the hard work this past year. Successes over the last year included the Dialing for Dollars, receiving National recognitions as the first Board to use the program and raise money for RPAC; the continued fight for property rights and against legislative changes that would negatively affect our members, and the start of our REALTOR® store in the GLAR office. I again look forward to the new year with new ideas, and working with the leadership team as we push forward with goals of making our organization stronger, and taking a look at processes and technologies to help provide our members the latest and greatest programs. With new programs and changes we all need to communicate and work together to help with the decisions of our Board. I challenge everyone to get involved in some way over the next year. How can I get involved: Committees Attending Events Attending Breakfast, Lunch or Happy Hour with the President Respond to Calls to Action We as the leadership team want to hear from you and want to work together to continue to strengthen our organization. MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

As we begin our new fiscal year, I want to thank the leadership team and staff for all of the hard work this past year. How can I get involved:

LETTER FROM YOUR CEO I have heard from many of you that it has been a banner year! Congratulations! According to the MLS, it has been! Over 18 of our 24 area cities had more sales this year than last year. And the year is not over yet! Inventory is still fine and Interest rates are still stable. It is still a good time to buy and sell!! Just as your business is doing great, so is the Association's. Our membership has grown slightly, as every year members come and go. Our Affiliate membership and our MLS Only memberships have grown. Membership numbers continue to be constant. Your Board and the committees have been very busy with the new Core Standard requirements from the National Association of REALTORS®. This is a year long process. Some of these requirements have us participating in our communities through:

donations to our local food shelves and the Salvation Army keeping abreast of what our communities are doing on the local governance level meeting with our local representatives and hosting Home Stretch classes.

And the Association itself has to be in compliance: making sure the Association provides technology services to their members that the bylaws, policies and financials are all in order.

We have had exciting events this past year that we will extend to this year. So be looking for:

the Grand Event at Grandview Holiday Party in November REALTOR® Ring Day the Annual RPAC Dinner our Expo in February which will be a joint venture with the Builders Association and renamed the

MMBA & GLAR Education and Product Showcase the Annual Golf Extravaganza Town Hall Meetings And of course, our education programs that start this month. GLAR is offering over 90 hrs of

education this year. Be professional - be educated And I can't forget our New REALTOR® Store! Check it out - it's in the office.

MNAR has opportunities for you as well. be a professional standards hearing panel member join in the Broker Breakfast Series join a committee attend a GRI education class.

So, what do I say. Get involved with your Association! Board and committee members realize what an opportunity it is to be involved and in the forefront of what is happening on the national, state and local levels. Through your commitment to the REALTOR® Organization, to your personal business and your company, we are able to achieve a common goal, success. Good Luck and have another banner year!
