  • Message from our President

    Dear members of Palathinkal Kudumbayogam,

As president, I am greeting everyone through this Vartha Pathrika. I was elected as the president of our Kudumbayogam in the AGM held on 1-5-2013 and I sincerely thank all members for it. I also use this opportunity to thank the outgoing president, Mr.Bhasi Joseph Ipe for serving the Kudumbayogam for five years as president and devoting his valuable time.

In the last News letter Mr.Bhasi expressed his desire to step down and hand over the reigns to a much younger and energetic person. Unfortunately I, his successor do not fulfill either of these qualifications. Anyway I hope to discharge my duties to the best of my ability and I expect the whole hearted support and co-operation from all of you. Two executive committee meetings were held after the last AGM. I thank Mr.P.K.Kurian (Kunjumon) Palathinkal and Mr.K.T.Philipose, Kalathoor for hosting the meetings on 25-7-2013 and 6-10-2013 respectively. Mr.Isaac George Palathinkal, Bangalore has donated a sum of Rs 100,000/- on 26-8-2013 for forming a fund with the name ‘Palathinkal Kunju-Aleyamma Chikitsa Sahaya Nidhi’ in memory of his parents. The annual interest of this amount is to be used for the medical treatment of deserving persons. The Kudumbayogam hereby expresses its thanks and appreciates this kind gesture. Before concluding this letter I request everyone to inform me or any member of the executive committee of the Kudumbayogam about the important events in our families like births, marriages, achievements, deaths, etc so that this can be brought to the notice of other members through this Vartha Pathrika.

    With warm regards,

    P.J.Issacs – President 7A, Skyline Hill View Muttambalam P.O, Kottayam 686 004 Mob 9497089624, Res 0481 2574044 Email: [email protected]

    Vol. 11 November 2013

    Palathinkal Kunju-Aleyamma Chikitsa Sahaya Nidhi

‘Palathinkal Kunju-Aleyamma Chikitsa Sahaya Nidhi’ is instituted by Prof. Isaac George (PL.1.2.1.2.1.1) (Kunjumon) in memory of his parents Kunju and Aleyamma. The Nidhi is a Fixed Deposit for Rs 100,000/-, annual interest of which can be used by Kudumbayogam for medical treatment of deserving persons chosen by the Kudumbayogam from our family or elsewhere as decided by the collective wisdom of the Kudumbayogam executive committee.

Kudumbayogam profoundly thanks Prof.Isaac George and family for the noble gesture, reflecting the family’s concern for the suffering.

We do pray and request all members to follow his example and come forward with similar donations to enable our Kudumbayogam to reach the poor and suffering through our financial support.

    NEWS LETTER OF PALATHINKAL KUDUMBAYOGAM

    First Timothy 5:8

“But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”

  • Report by Secretary Dear members, We had our AGM on 1st May 2013, which was well attended. Our President, Mr.Bhasi Ipe, handed over charge after guiding the Kudumbayogam for over 5 years to Mr.Joseph Issacs (Rajan). While thanking Bhasi for his active services, let us wish Rajan a fruitful and long tenure as our President. Once again, this year also, we gave merit awards to two students – one each from M.T.Seminary School and Baker Memorial Girls School. From this year onwards, we are giving a third award also to a deserving student selected from C.M.S High School, Kottayam.

We had a fairly active 6 months since our AGM. We had our 1st Executive Committee meeting of the year on 25th July 2013 at the residence of P.K.Kurian (Kunjumon) Palathinkal. Our thanks to Kunjumon and family for hosting the meeting. Accounts of the AGM 2013 was presented and passed at this meeting. Members contributed liberally during the AGM and hence we could conduct the AGM without drawing money from other sources. My thanks to all who were liberal in their contributions On 7th August, our women’s wing met at the residence of Mr and Mrs.George Isaac at Pakkil. We thank George Isaac family for voluntarily hosting the meeting and reflecting their deep interest in our Kudumbayogam activities. On 9th August, we met at th residence of Mr and Mrs.Ranjit Mathew to sing and praise the Lord for all His blessings on us. We thank Ranjit family for organizing the meeting. On 18th September, our women’s wing members, under the stewardship of Ammu Isaac Mathai treated our Men folk with a delicious Onam sadhya at the residence of Mr and Mrs. George Ipe. A big thanks to our Women’s wing. We had been planning to have a meeting at Ancheril to enable members residing in that area also to be active in our Kudumbayogam affairs. We had our Executive Committee meeting at the residence of Mr.K.T.Philipose on 6 th October and many members attended the meeting. Our thanks to Mr.K.T.Philipose, Sabu and family for hosting the meeting. In the past, we had always been planning to have a family picnic, but in vain. This year, organizers made a determined effort to make it happen. Consequently, on 26th October 2013, we had a picnic cum boating through the Vembanadukayal upto Alleppey and back. Nearly 40 members, including children, joyfully participated in the picnic. Biju, Ullattil, under his able leadership managed to bring the big contingent from Pangada. My thanks to all the participants. This event was hosted by our President Rajan (P.J.Issacs) and Secretary Ranjit (Kurian I.Palat). Kudumbayogam thanks both of them for their earnest contributions and support to our activities and for making the picnic a memorable one. Another very happy news I wanted to share with you is the donation of Rs 100,000/- made by Prof.Isaac George (Bangalore) and family in memory of his parents Kunju and Aleyamma. As per his request the donation is named as Palathinkal Kunju-Aleyamma Chikitsa Sahaya Nidhi, Annual interest from this fund can be used by Kudumbayogam for medical treatment of deserving persons chosen by the Kudumbayogam from our family or elsewhere as decided by the collective wisdom of the Kudumbayogam executive committee. On behalf of Palathinkal Kudumbayogam, I thank the donors for their thoughtful gesture. I conclude my report thanking Almighty for all the blessings that we receive. Thank you all. “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church,

his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their

love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.”
