WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS, AND LOANS?

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit, academic achievement and/or special talents and do not require repayment. Some scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need.

Grants are awarded on the basis of financial need and do not require repayment.

Loans are financial aid awards that require repayment. They offer the opportunity to defer the cost of your educational expenses by borrowing now and repaying later. Some loan programs are based on financial need, but there are loan programs available to all students regardless of income

SERVICE LEARNING

SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS, SENIORS…get involved in Service Learning!!! Colleges and scholarship donors are now requiring applicants to be involved in their school/community. You can also earn a seal on your diploma for service of 150 hours or more. For information see Mrs. Wright in room 808 or the Service Learning Office, located on the south side of the main building.
