We are glad you are here! All are welcome: those who are with us week in and week out, those who haven’t been in church for awhile, those who are here because Grandma dragged you in, and those who are here for the first time, ever. We want to ensure that everyone is welcome. We have greeters who can help you. We will be using our screens to guide us through the liturgy and invite you to join in the singing, even if you can’t carry a tune in a bucket. While you wait for Mass to begin, we thought you might like to get to know us better. Our vision statement is: Christ the King Parish, the Home of Catholic Campus ministry is… A growing community of lifelong students of Christ who welcome, worship, give and serve generously. We commit to go out and bring Christ to the University of Montana, Missoula and the world. This is what we strive to do and this is who we long to be as a parish community. Our doors are always open to you. Whatever your journey has been, no matter how far you’ve gone or how long you’ve been away, you are a part of our family because you are a part of God’s family. You are welcome here. Together we are the Church and we need one another. We search and journey, holding each other and the world in prayer. We hold everyone close, offering all respect and kindness. It is here that we experience the tremendous love of Jesus. And it is from here that we are sent to share that same love. Life is busy and complicated. There are many demands on all of us. Being a part of a parish community takes time and effort. This is time well spent; time that brings meaning and purpose to our lives. Again, we are glad that you are here! We would love to get you to know you better. Welcome! Photo retrieved from: cliparts.co/clipart/219377

Our vision statement is: Christ the King Parish, the Home of Catholic Campus ministry is… A growing community of lifelong students of Christ who we lcome, worsh ip , g ive and serve generously. We commit to go out and bring Christ to the University of Montana, Missoula and the world.

This is what we strive to do and this is who we long to be as a parish community. Our doors are always open to you. Whatever your journey has been, no matter how far you’ve gone or how long you’ve been away, you are a part of our family because you are a part of

What’s Going on in Our Parish? Looking for a way to stay involved and deepen your spirituality?

Great things are happening here at Christ the King Parish. Take advantage of all of these wonderful opportunities this year!

ALPHA Alpha is for everyone and anyone. It is an opportunity to

explore life and the Christian faith, in a friendly, open and informal environment. There are no questions that are too big or too small. Alpha has no prerequisites whatsoever, and is now involved in our new sacramental preparation requirements. We will begin our next Alpha session with a:

“Come and See” Information Night on January 3rd at 6 pm and 4th at 5:30.

This semester Alpha will run on Wednesday nights from 5:30-7:30 pm. All are welcome and there is no commitment required to attend. Dinner and childcare are provided. Bring a friend and find out what Alpha is about!

G.I.F.T. Growing In Faith Together, or G.I.F.T., is a weekly

opportunity for faith formation that meets on Tuesdays. Every session offers a new and relevant topic, from discovering new forms of prayer to learning about the stories of some of our greatest Saints. The night starts with Mass at 5:15 pm and leads into dinner together. The presentation for the night starts around 6:30 pm. Come for one part or for all of it! The night is open to all, as we are all lifelong students of Christ.

LIFETEEN Our youth ministry program open to all high

school aged young people. Join us for our LifeNights on Sundays, from 7:30-9:00 pm. We rotate locations between CTK, St. Anthony’s, and St. Francis Xavier. Watch your bulletins or join our Flocknote group to stay up to date. Any questions? Contact Chris Hammen: [email protected]. See you there!

MISSOULA CATHOLIC 20S/30S GROUP If you’re in your 20s or 30s and looking to create

healthy friendships and deepen your own relationship with Christ, come join us! We meet once a week for different events such as potlucks, movie nights, and

adoration. For times and locations, find us on Facebook or contact Sean King at 406-531-6111.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,

he ascended into heaven,

from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Sending Forth

Thank you for joining us to celebrate Emmanuel, God with us! All God’s Blessings! You are always welcome here!

1. Silent night! Holy night! All is calm, all is brightRound yon Virgin Mother and child!Holy Infant so tender and mild,Sleep in heavenly peace,Sleep in heavenly peace.

2. Silent night! Holy night!Shepherds quake at the sight;Glories stream from heaven afar;Heav’nly hosts sing “Alleluia!,Christ the Savior is born,Christ the Savior is born.”

3. Silent night! Holy night!Son of God, love’s pure lightRadiant beams from thy holy face,With the dawn of redeeming grace,Jesus, Lord, at thy birth,Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.

AWAY IN A MANGERCRADLE SONG

1. Away in a manger, no crib for a bed, The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head. The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay, The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.

2. The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, But little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes. I love thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky, And stay by my side until morning is nigh.

3. Be near me, Lord Jesus! I ask thee to stay Close by me forever, and love me, I pray. Bless all the dear children in thy tender care, And fit us for heaven, to live with thee there.

Text: 11 11 11 11; verses 1–2, Little Children’s Book for Schools and Families, ca. 1885; verse 3, John T. McFarland, 1851–1913; Gabriel’s Vineyard Songs, 1829, alt.
