Albert & Dorothy Kehrer (Chair of VA Programs) and our Clarksburg Elks #482, have not forgotten the Veterans. Various VA Programs happen monthly. Clarksburg Elks #482 is #1 for the Veterans Programs.
We have regular monthly bingo parties at the VA Hospital and VA Nursing Home. Generally there are 12 - 14 residents each month enjoying the fun and they enjoy our visits (even the staff is happy to see us)
VA Volunteers are there to help all the time. Join us and help on the first Monday of each Month 6th Floor of the VA Hospital at 6:15 pm.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you from the Kehrer’s

To all Clarksburg Elks #482 MembersThanks goes out to all of the members of the Clarksburg Elks Lodge. This has been a great year for the Lodge # 482. We have been recognized in the South, North, East and West of West Virginia. I have traveled all around and also have been to Virginia, Pennsylvania, and also to the National Convention in Phoenix Arizona. West Virginia has had its share of attention because of Lodge # 482 and the West Virginia Elks State President. We are now at a turning point to make the Clarksburg Elks come back from all of the adversity that was extended to us just a few years back. Please come out and enjoy the festivities that are planned for this month.
I recently returned from the Elks National Home in Bedford Virginia. I was proud to represent West Virginia and the Clarksburg Elks for the Christmas Lighting Ceremony. The work that the folks at the home put into the lighting is out of this world. There are hundreds of cars that drive thru the grounds each evening just to view all the different displays. The National Home is a great place and so beautiful, if you would like to find a place to retire this is the place. The buildings are something to see and you can retire there very reasonable. Look into it, it is for Elks and their spouses.
Please don’t forget the Children’s Christmas Party, Adult Christmas Party and the New Year’s event. The trustees and officers are looking for people to volunteer to help with these and other events. If you could possibly help out at any time please contact one of the trustees or officers of the lodge. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We are also looking for any new ideas that would help the lodge make money in any way. If you have any suggestions please let us know.
Don’t forget to donate to the Elks National Foundation for every dollar that is donated we receive back over $1.70 for use in the Community, for Veterans, and Education of our youth.
Thank You, from the Trustees of the Clarksburg Elks #482Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.Jerry French, West Virginia Elks State President
