New for 2009, the Mapex Meridian Maple ushers in a new level of quality and functionality in mid-level all maple drum sets. With a completely new lug and redesigned lightweight Isolated Tom Mounting System, the Meridian Series features bright and resonant all maple shells in a wide selection of lacquered and covered finishes. Each Meridian drum set is also equipped with all new, feature-packed Mapex 700 Series hardware.

The all-new Meridian Maple Standard Configuration with additional Go Large Pack features a 10, 12, 13, 14, 16 and double bass drum setup, shown here in the Volcanic Burst lacquer finish.

One of the most significant improvements Mapex is introducing with the Meridian Series is its newly engineered Isolated Tom Mounting System. The system still employs the unique Mapex off-the-shell design and single-point-of-contact lugs, but the shell stress has been redistributed for even better resonance and sustain.

The overall weight of the system has been reduced for more convenient positioning and the addition of multiple rubber gaskets eliminate the risk of unwanted noise.
