their workplaces to ensure they're both physically and mentally safe for theirworkers, clients, contractors and volunteers.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised trainingcourse which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of

mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. MHFA won’t teach youto be a therapist, but just like physical first aid, it will teach you to listen,

reassure and respond; even in a crisis.

A deeper understanding of mental healthand the factors that can affect people’s well-being, including your ownPractical skills to spot the triggers and signsof mental health issuesConfidence to step in, reassure and supporta person in distressEnhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgmental listeningKnowledge to help someone recover theirhealth by guiding them to appropriatesupport
