We are looking for delegates to represent SHMC for this fun, family-centered weekend. A The 45th year of

Time Out for God lakeside services at Cheney Lake State Park will begin on Sunday, May 29. This

ministry for campers and others in the area has blessed many lives over the years. These services run from Memorial Day weekend through labor Day weekend. Time of service is 9 am each Sunday. These services include a time for singing, special music, scripture, and a timely meditation. Rev. Lester Zook conducts this ministry. Services are held in and around the Church Pavilion which is just north of the main entrance (21st St. West).

Thank you so much for your thoughts, prayers, cards and meals following the car accident. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful church family!

Community! With summer just around the corner you can almost smell the burgers on the grill and taste the lemonade! This summer the Group Life Team

would love to help you throw a party in your neighborhood. We’re even willing to help you plan it, make invitations, hook you up with yard games and supply the hotdogs/burgers and drinks! There is an informational lunch on May 15 for anyone who is planning or interested in

A Senior Adult Fellowship

Student Ministries

S Sunday mornings:

Student Small Groups meet weekly on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am at South Hutch and at 10:29 am at Journey @ Yoder. Small group time will give students a way to Connect with Others, Grow in Christ, and Serve with Passion. Small groups are based on gender and age to allow students to really connect and share with each other. We will be doing some awesome studies and will also have opportunities to serve the larger church.

S One Month to Live for

Students is a study that challenges students to find their God-given passion and purpose and to start living today. This study is loaded with challenging questions, action steps and tools to help check their relationship with God and with others, to find their unique passions and gifts and to live according to God’s unique purpose for their lives!

S Sunday evenings:

JHM (Junior High Ministry) 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Journey @ Yoder. Fun and crazy games and a short lesson in the first hour. C Bible Memory Camp is June 6-9 and we’re

planning to take a van (or two, or three!) to Oklahoma to enjoy Camp Wah-Shah-She. The more verses you memorize, the lower the cost! Scholarships are available upon request. Registration forms are due by next week, May 15. See Pastor Sheri or Tammy Yutzy for more information.

Congratulations to Steve Schmidt who graduated from Leadership Reno County! Help! Lost DVD’s from the library! The following DVD’s are still missing. Please look to see if they got mixed in with your personal DVD’s. Celebrating 40 Years of Mennonite Voluntary Service Unit in Hutchinson! The 40th anniversary weekend is June 25 & 26 at First Mennonite Church. Zwieback bakers are needed to volunteer their baking skills for the faspa (evening lunch) and extra bedrooms are needed for overnight guests. A Work & Play Retreat at Rocky Mountain

Mennonite Camp over Memorial Weekend. Volunteers are encouraged to come May 27-30 for a free weekend at RMMC! All we ask is that you and your family be willing to help with summer camp preparation projects half the time and play for the other half. Work will include cleaning cabins, getting the boat equipment out, moving the winter tube run bridge, and anything they can do to get the camp ready for the summer season. ―Play‖ might include rock climbing, rappelling, hikes and some kids/youth activities.
