The MEMLITE BC3 Low Energy CFL range from Eaton is adedicated lampholder range for use with low energy lamps.Following the latest edition of Part L of the buildingregulations, Eaton has developed a non-standard interfaceto ensure only low energy lamps can be used with thisproduct range.

The purpose of these regulations is to ensure that domesticdwellings have at least some efficient lighting, typically 3lighting points in an average sized dwelling.

The MEMLITE BC3 range covers the most commonly useditems within the home.

The Eaton CFL (CompactFluorescent Lamp) uses around1/5th of electricity and aredesigned to last on average 8 times longer, compared withstandard tungsten lamps.

Energy Efficient

Using CFL’s means that the benefits of energy efficientlighting are available in the home. They are appropriate to areas where lights are left on for long periods of timesuch as hallways, staircases, entrances, kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms.

The most versatile option is to use a pendant or battenholder,a direct substitute for a normal BC lampholder. There is noextra installation time and is safe and easy to do.
