Members in the News GordinNamed NANN President-Elect
Peggy Gordin, RNC, MS, CNAA, FAAN,
director of Neonatal Nursing at The Chil-
dren’s Hospital of Philadelphia, has been
named president-elect of the National Associa-
tion of Neonatal Nursing. She will represent
neonatal issues at the national level in policy
development, legislative issues and professional
practice. She will become president in January
2007 and will be responsible for the overall
leadership of the organization until December
2008.
Promoting Heart Health inFebruary; New CD Available
AWHONN remains active in promoting
Cardiovascular Health (CVH) in Women
through its various research projects, partner-
ships and educational offerings.
To promote cardiovascular health among
women, AWHONN is releasing a new CD
ROM, “Cardiovascular Health for Women: Pro-
fessional and Consumer Presentation Package,”
that includes a scripted one-hour presentation
on CVH for health professionals (1.2 contact
hours available) and a separate one-hour pres-
entation for consumers. Order the CD online at
www.awhonn.org.
Additionally, the National Heart, Lung, and
Blood Institute (NHLBI) has an online tool kit
available to assist in the promotion of Heart
Month. The tool kit’s available on the NHLBI
