ATKINSON James and his wife Elizabeth (nee BROWN) arrived in Australia with their children,

Alfred, Charles, James, Septimus, Harriet, Mary Ann, and Sophia Matilda about 1840 on the Royal

George. He was a banker. Later the family moved to the Singleton area. All the children were born in

Swansea,

child was born. They later moved to Gate House No.6 Springwood known as 'Brady's Crossing', John
