Hello My name is Katie Daywalker and I am the new 4-H Youth Leadership Agent in Larimer County I am
thrilled to be joining your community I greatly lookforward to getting to know you all and understandinghow I can best serve you in my role
I just moved here this summer with my husband andnearly 2-year-old daughter We are loving exploring thenatural areas and would love to hear your tips on thebest 2-year-old friendly swimming holes trails andplaces to eat
Irsquom originally from the Sacramento Valley in northern California I received a Bachelorrsquosdegree in Anthropology with a minor in American Studies from California State UniversityChico and later a Masterrsquos degree in Food Studies from Chatham University in PittsburghPA Irsquove lived in Czech Republic and Japan and traveled to several European countries andsoutheast Asia I have worked with studied with and befriended people from all differentcultures communities and linguistic backgrounds I have taught youth and adults and ledgroups of volunteers in the United States and in Japan in classrooms on farms and in theoffice Irsquove worked in international exchange teaching English as a second languagestudent advising and food procurement for a regional food bank Irsquove also volunteered ona variety of farms in the US and abroad
My background is eclectic but essentially I love working with and getting to know all kindsof people I love learning and growing as a person and I love and helping others learn ampgrow as well I am particularly passionate about helping youth develop and achieve theirgoals from learning a specific skill through becoming a leader in their community andbeyond I am here to help you grow and achieve your goals within 4-H Please feel free toreach out to me anytime with questions comments suggestions concerns or just to getacquainted

As we make adjustments to the 4-H Program during this difficult time we will be offeringonline written tests and video riding testing for the Horse Levels Advancement Program
Written Tests will be offered through QualtricsPlease study before requesting a written test The study guides posted online will help youprepare for the test httpco4hcolostateeduprogram-areashorse-resourceslevels-testing
To request a written test please contact Diane at dkernlarimerorg Specify which writtenlevel you would like to test
You will see your 4-H Horse level test results upon completion You may take the testmultiple times to achieve a score of 80 or higher Please plan to complete your writtentest within a few days
