Melbourne Planetarium has been producing original shows for over 20 years, developing the latest in animations, science visualisations, musical scores and sound design. Our Fulldome Shows are well known for their creative mix of strong science and inventive storytelling, utilizing the best of narrative and non-fiction styles.

We are the largest producer of Fulldome Shows in the Southern Hemisphere. Our shows have sold over 100 licenses around the world in more than 20 countries. Melbourne Planetarium shows are multi-awarding winning, collecting awards at Domefest, the Jena Fulldome Festival, and the International Planetarium Movie Festival.

Established in 1965, the Melbourne Planetarium is the oldest in Australia. Located at Museums Victoria’s Scienceworks, it attracts over 150,000 visitors per year.
