• Arshad Warsi

• Born as Nadira Begum or Sharf-un-Nissa, she was a legendary slave girl. It is believed that she was originally from Iran and migrated to Lahore with a trader's caravan.

• She was first mentioned by an English tourist and trader William Finch in his journal, who visited India on August 24, 1608. But, her story was originally written by Indian writer Abdul Halim Sharar and on the first page of that book he had clearly mentioned it to be a work of fiction.

• Due to the lack of evidence and sources, her story is widely accepted to be false for the evidence of her grave and body. Her story is not mentioned in the Akbarnama nor in Tuzuk-e-Jahangiri.

• Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan, is perhaps the oldest and the most prestigious music conference in the country. It was started in 1875 by Baba Harivallabh to pay homage to the memory of his guru and Dhrupad exponent Baba Tuljagiri, who had passed away a year before.
