The Lawson McGhee Library is located in downtown Knoxville. To understand the people who visit this library I studied surrounding locations to determine what attractions bring cus-tomers to this area. Some of these include The University of Tennessee and Market Square. Times of when it becomes most popular were also studied, such as the fall, during football season when a large population travels to Knoxville. Sound was also a factor studied here and repre-sented with abstract graphics

20Haiti Preschool
The Haiti Preschool and Community Center
was designed for the people in a small town in Haiti called Lexi. Lexi needs a location for children to grow and be educated as well as a place for the community to partake in religious activities so that they will have strong hope for the future. This program consists of 6 preschool classrooms, a church and nutrition area, a guest house for visitors, and a large central area between the buildings for activi-ties to promote community growth. Goodpasture High School Gymnasium
is located in Madison, TN. This is a freelance project I was asked to help with. Goodpasture is soon going to renovate their existing high school basketball gymnasium to accommo-date to future growth in the school. I helped the process by assisting in creating the court design, choosing colors, and producing renderings of the future gym for the school to have.

40Bradley CountyHealth Department
Bradley County is a very small town located in east Tennes-see. The current conditions of their health department being small, dark and very compact are not working for the employ-ees or patients who come here. My partner and I designed a place where maximum amount of sunlight can be seen indoors by pulling rooms off of the walls and biophil-lic elements were implemented throughout the space. The large program consists of 15 exam rooms, lab rooms, a dentist office and exam rooms, admin offices, a large waiting room, a community outreach room, nurses offices and more. Page 11

50The Lovell Beach House
The Lovell Beach Houselocated in Newport Beach, Cali-fornia was designed by architect Rudolph Schindler. With many windows throughout the house, two story windows in the living and dinning room and a large side porch, it was built to enhance a healthy outdoor lifestyle. This house was used as a precedent to learn the computer program Revit. Page 13

Furniture DesignIn the fall of 2015 I took a furniture design class. Here I learned not only how to make furniture, but the beauty behind how each piece of furniture is made. The Wabi Sabi Table was a precedent piece I made from wood as well as metal legs that I welded together and assem-bled to the table top. The 3D print table was created using the pro-gram Rhinoceros and printed in the University of Tennessee’s 3D print-Page 15 Page 16

Textile DesignDuring the spring of 2015 I was offered a color theory class. Here we had the opportunity to create a fabric from a motif, which we also created. The motif was made to represent an artistic painting in a very abstract way. The mo-tif was then copied and rotated around multiple times to create the textile that would be printed onto a fabric.

PhotographyPhotography is one of my many creative passions and way of showing how I see the world. The following photos consist of a worn bench, rebar exposed from a concrete wall, an ocean wave crashing, and an adobe bird-house that is worn and cracked.
