ARCHAEOLOGY

• 400- Slavs inhabited the region now known as Slovakia and Czech Republic• 1918- Czechs and Slovaks came together,

creating Czechoslovakia• 1942- Approximately 57,000 Jews deported to

Poland in WW11, and most of them were killed.• 1969- The nation then became the Slovak

Socialist Republic of Czechoslovakia• 1992- Slovakia's government declared its
