Mega Sidharta Hi! My name is Mega and I am the Global Transition Coordinator, the person who has been emailing you all summer regarding the program. I’m a rising senior majoring in Natural Science on the pre-med track as well as minoring in Anthropology. I was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia but lived in the Philippines for the first 5 years of my life. As an international student, I was in the Global Transition program as an incoming freshman and became a Global Transition Assistant in my Sophomore and Junior years, so I’m definitely the go to person to ask about the program as well as transitioning into New York/the US. I’m so excited to meet all of you and finally put a face to the names I’ve been talking to!

Hi!

  • Ebba Ehrling

Hi All! My name is Ebba Ehrling and I'm a rising senior, studying International Political Economy and Business Administration. I'm born in New Jersey, but it is Stockholm, Sweden I call home. This is my third year as a GTA and I'm positive you're going to meet some incredible friends during this pre-orientation program! So great that you'll want to hang out with all of them after the program as well. This is where the Global Transition Society comes into play, which another GTA named Amanda and I are the spearheads of. So, when all the GT fun ends, I hope you'll join us for excursion in this lovely city we call our second home, events, and helpful sessions for us internationals.

During the program, I'm a perfect person to ask about what to do in the city, internship opportunities and anything (and everything) about the TV show West Wing and George Clooney. Welcome to New York, Fordham, and the Global Transition Program! This is going to be a great start to the rest of your year!

Our goal is to make your transition into Fordham as smooth as possible, so if you have any questions about anything during or after the GT program, about school or life at Fordham and in New York, I'm here to help!

  • Tatiana Gallardo

A devoted food truck connoisseur, Tatiana can typically be found eating (preferably something spicy) on the streets of New York. She likes to spend most of her money trying new restaurants and buying funky earrings. Tatiana is going for the double whammy at Fordham University, where she is pursuing a dual degree in English and New Media and Digital Design. As a colorful photographer and writer, this academic track is the ideal combination for her. Catch Tatiana eating her way through Europe this summer, where she will also be dancing – a lot.

  • Katie Mauer

Hello and welcome to Fordham! My name is Katie and I am one of the GTAs. I am currently a 4th year pursuing a double major in New Media & Digital Design and Visual Arts with a minor in Communications. I was born in Guangdong, China, adopted, and raised here in the US. While I am not an international student myself, I have spent time volunteering abroad in South Africa and my 3rd year studying in the Netherlands and Australia.

I am interested in all things creative and love applying my studies to internships and volunteer projects both in the City and abroad. On campus I am involved with our student newspaper publication (The Observer) as a designer, the B+ Foundation, TKD and Yoga Clubs. When not on campus, I love longboarding around the city with friends to various arts museums, The Strand, or exploring new places in the Village.

Having experienced the benefits/challenges of university life as an international student myself (twice!), this past year, I am really looking forward to meeting everyone and welcoming you all to the incredible Fordham and NYC community.
