PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:

On Thursday we have the long awaited visit from our District Governor Susan Wakefield accompanied by her husband PDG John Wakefield. The meeting will be held in the Lounge (also known as the Bingo Room) where we were a few weeks ago, beside the Bar on the Ground Floor. We will need some of the Rotary paraphernalia brought down from upstairs so if you could arrive a little earlier and help out it will be much appreciated. The same goes for the return of the bits and pieces at the end of the meeting.

Last Saturday we had our biggest Crows Nest Market for the year and the rains kept away.

We are just about to embark on The Tree of Joy so please check with Jenny with your availability to help stock the Trees with Tags and collection of Gfits.

Also December 15 is the Seniors Christmas Luncheon at the Crows Nest Centre. Once again please check with Jenny with your availability.

At our meeting on December 6 we will have a Presentation from our Exchange Student Art Crabbe and this will also be the date for our Annual General Meeting.

Our last meeting for the year will be on December 20 and we resume on January 10.

Divorced Barbie

One day a father gets out of work and on his way home he suddenly remembers that it's his daughter's birthday. He pulls over to a Toy Shop and asks the sales person, 'How much for one of those Barbie's in the display window?' The salesperson answers, 'Which one do you mean, sir? ‘We have - Work Out Barbie, Shopping Barbie, Beach Barbie, Disco Barbie, Ballerina Bar-bie, Astronaut Barbie and Skater Barbie, all of which cost $19.95 each and we also have Divorced Barbie, for $265.95’ The amazed father asks: 'It's what?! Why is the Divorced Barbie $265.95 and the others only $19.95?' The annoyed salesperson rolls her eyes, sighs and answers: 'Sir...Divorced Barbie comes with: Ken's Car, Ken's House, Ken's Boat, Ken's Furniture, Ken's Computer, one of Ken's Friends, and a key chain with Ken's balls on it’.
