To continue the tradition of interdisciplinary biliary atresia congresses, the organizing
committee of the second meeting on biliary atresia and related diseases (BARD) likes to
inform you that the next conference is scheduled for July 10th to 11th, 2020 in Bruges,
Belgium. BARD-Bruges-2020 is organized as a joint venture together with the British
Association of Paediatric Surgeons and in close cooperation with the European Reference
network for rare liver diseases ERN-rare-liver (https://www.rare-liver.eu/).
The topics of BARD-Bruges-2020 will structurally be orientated to the Berlin congress
in 2014*. Beside overview lectures, which will be given by members of the scientific
faculty, newly submitted studies and papers will be discussed during extended podiums
debates and will also be available as electronic posters . Additionally, consensus drafts
on crucial diagnostic and therapeutic issues will be presented and discussed. Please, take
