MEETING NOTES FOR JUNE 8th, 2017

2. Committee Updates

a. Forum Committee: Save the Date for the Summer Forum, Thursday, June

29th at 1:30 PM with guest speaker Ryan Estis (of “Pouring Happiness”). We

encourage all managers and supervisors consider bringing at least 1

front line employee as the topic is “connecting employees to a shared vision

focusing on customer service”.

b. Travelers Advisory and Travelers with Disabilities Committee: TAC will

meet on August 14th and TDAC will meet on September 11th.

c. Benchmarking: Atif Saeed is leading the next round of Benchmarking for

Landside Operations and Parking. He met with the previous committee on

lessons learned and is currently forming his committee.

d. MSP Nice Celebration Committee: The Celebration will be held post-Super

Bowl and will be setting a date for the 1st committee meeting. New committee

members are always welcome!

e. Building on Success: Nicole Kiefer and Alan Howell presented on locations

for the 2nd employee breakroom! The prospective space is at the end of the

G concourse (behind Twin Burger) and will be on the main floor level and

larger than the C concourse space!

f. MSP Jobs: A reminder that the Jobs committee meets every month on the

second Tuesday at 8AM- next meeting on Tuesday, June 13th. The next

meeting will be discussing the next onsite MSP Job Fair- so all HR staff

members are encouraged to attend.

5. Construction Transition Updates: Alan Howell

Alan shared information on the rollout of a new self-

service bag drop system with Delta. Customers will

stop at the check-in kiosk to print their bag tags. They will

then move to the self-service bag drop machines where

they will scan their boarding pass. A biometrics lane with

a face scanning machine will also be tested. MAC will

also test self-bag drops with other airlines.

6. Concessions RFP Updates- Liz Grzechowiak

Phase 2 of the concessions RFP has begun! 19 total units are part of the proposal

(which breaks into 29-34 concepts); including 7 full service restaurants, 4 limited

service restaurants, 4 food courts, and 4 others (juice, snacks, coffee). June 22nd

Proposals are Due, and the September 25th Commission Meeting will be sharing the

approvals. Construction is scheduled for a kick off Post Super bowl, 2018 and

concluding the end of 2019.
