resort or a smaller gathering perfect for the intimacy of a historic country

inn. All provide impeccable service, a charming, relaxed ambiance, and a

fashioned village, a distinctive beachside inn complete with working

lighthouse, a spectacular island escape....Whatever your preference, our

grand hotels and resorts offer sophisticated comforts for larger corporate

functions without sacrificing personalized attention to detail. Smaller

groups, intimate events and family reunions will appreciate the romantic

splendor of a secluded Victorian inn, the quaint charm of a coastal lodge,

Cape Cod & The Islands offer a wide variety of special venues

From the moment you cross the bridges onto Cape Cod and get a whiff of our

salty air, you will sense how the sea permeates this locale. Savor the tantalizing

flavors of the Cape and Islands over steaming lobsters, succulent steamers,

sweet scallops, Wellfleet oysters, tasty mussels and our incomparably fresh

catch of the day.

The Cape and Islands have a wide selection of fine and casual dining

options. While traditional New England fare is still widely available and at its

best, it has been joined by innovative American, authentic Italian, exciting

Asian, and classic French cuisine. Many restaurants offer live entertainment,

from Irish music to jazz. Many restaurants offer private function rooms for

groups from 15 to 150. For larger events, there are many historical and

interesting venues throughout the area. From historical homes, lighthouses, to

waterfront ballrooms, to events on the ocean, you can find the perfect setting

for your function on the Cape and Islands. Local professional caterers have

access to the Cape’s freshest ingredients – and offer farm-to-table and local

seafood. For a corporate outing, wedding reception, rehearsal dinner or alumni

gathering – the most fitting Cape Cod function can be a catered clambake on

the beach.

Organize a wedding feast on a deck built over the water, at the Pilgrim’s

first landing spot, or in the round Shaker barn of a local museum. From

cocktails in the parlor of a former sea captain’s residence, to hors d’oeuvres

beneath a tent by the sea, lunch in an 18th century tavern, or afternoon tea at

a Victorian inn – the Cape has your perfect venue.

Transportation

Though far from the hectic distractions of day-to-day life,Cape Cod is just a short journey from the Eastern Seaboard’s major urban areas– 90 minutes’ drive from Boston and Providence; less than three hours fromHartford and New Haven; and a five-hour drive from New York City. Two majorairports are within a short drive – Logan Airport in Boston is 56 miles from theSagamore Bridge and T.F. Green Airport in Providence, Rhode Island is 66 miles. In addition, several carriers, including Cape Air and JetBlue offer year-round orseasonal schedules of direct flights between major northeast cities—includingBoston, Providence, New Bedford, and New York – to Cape Cod’s new $40 millionBarnstable Municipal Airport, Provincetown, and the islands of Martha’s Vineyardand Nantucket. A full complement of ground transportation services, includingtaxis, car rental companies and buses, are available at each local airport. TheCapeFLYER offers full service rail connection including bar, snacks, and wifi, onweekends in the summer between Hyannis and Boston.

Another quick – and especially scenic – way to arrive at the Cape is by water.High-speed ferry service is offered from Boston to Provincetown and betweenCape Cod and the Islands. In addition, numerous full-service marinas provide slipspace and moorings for private and corporate yachts.

By car, the approach is marked by two arched bridges spanning the man-madeCape Cod Canal. It is approximately 70 miles/112km from the Canal to Provincetown,at the tip of Cape Cod. Three main roads run parallel along the Cape from west toeast. The quickest route is down the middle along Route 6, the Mid-Cape Highway, which begins at the Sagamore Bridge. On the south, Route 28 follows a commercialroute from Woods Hole and Falmouth along Nantucket Sound. Route 6A meanderson a northerly route along Cape Cod Bay past historic homes, antique shops andscenic vistas. All three of these roads merge at the Orleans Rotary and become Route6 which travels north to Provincetown.

Once here, your group can take a deep breath of salt air and relax; there are plentyof options for getting around. Several villages have seasonal shuttle circuits connectingshopping districts, beaches and tourist attractions. Taxis are generally available at localairports, bus stations, ferry docks and town centers, and fares are reasonable, especiallycompared to those in urban centers. A variety of full service limousine companies areavailable for airport and ferry transfers, as well as distinctive wedding transportation, personalized sightseeing tours, and group outings. Private tour bus operators alsooffer group and individual trips to most popular local destinations.
