We are looking for an experienced AX professional who’s a system engineer. Someone who has hands on experience installing and configuring the Microsoft Dynamics AX system. We need someone who’s self-sufficient and is a super star when it comes to troubleshooting.

Please give us a brief description of what you’re looking for.

Give us a brief overview of what the day to day is like for an Infrastructure Engineer on your team.

We don’t have an average day. Some days this person will be jumping from customer to customer, working on different requests. On other days this person will be working from a proactive service standpoint to get ahead of issues – system reviews, proactively checking different environments to head off potential problems for multiple customers, etc.

Team oriented. You’re not on an island by yourself. We attack problems from a team standpoint – the team takes responsibility for each request/ticket. While the person watching the queue assigns the tickets, anyone who manages the ticket can always bring in another team member to help solve a problem.

What’s the culture like within the team and department?

Longer term we have a great plan. However; the speed of that plan is dictated by our workload and number of customers we acquire. I believe we’re just getting started – we have a lot of room to expand and grow.

Career Development Opportunities? Company/Group opportunities?

I look at myself as a member of the team and the leader.  I’m in it as much as the team is and I pitch in and guide when it is needed.  I expect my team to do their job at a high-level and we have some great people on the team.  They don’t need to be micro-managed, just some guiding every once in the while.  I encourage the team to work with each other and to communicate.  I push the team to new heights with new challenges. It’s great to work with a team that can pull off amazing things.

What is your management style like?
