Meet the team!Rachel Sestini - Managing Director
I established Sestini & Co in 2013 to provide tailored, practical and sustainable tax and business advice to private clients, particularly in the area of cross-border taxation and planning. I am CTA qualified and qualified as an enrolled agent. I graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Mathematics.
With over 20 years’ advisory experience within the Big Four and one of the leading private banks, I have a depth and breadth of knowledge which enables me to work with clients to understand the key issues and to come up with a workable solution. I like getting to know clients as I feel this is how we can both get the maximum benefit from working together.
In my own time I like to fly light aircraft and enjoy spending time with my son and husband.
Katie Courtney - Associate Director
E: [email protected] attended Sheffield University and gained a BA (Hons) degree in Accounting and Financial Management. During my career, I initially trained in the Audit department of Coopers & Lybrand before training in UK and US personal income tax. My experience includes 10 years working in London for KPMG, Deloitte and PwC on large
banking engagements. I am married with a daughter and my family recently spent a
year having a wonderful time living in New Zealand.
Rachael Poole - Associate Director
E: [email protected] graduated from University of Durham with a first-class honours in Economics. Following graduation I joined the Global Mobility practice at PwC where I specialised in tax and social security whilst completing the ACA qualification. I have also enjoyed supporting clients through a variety of challenges including HMRC
PAYE audits, UK and overseas tax regulations and international expansion. Following this I spent some time as a Partner and Tax Accountant at DWF LLP providing advice to the partnership in relation to tax and National Insurance.
I am married with two wonderful children and enjoy trying new crafts in my spare time.
Keziah Rutherford - Associate Director
E: [email protected] I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a 2:1 in 2006 with an MA (Hons) in Religious Studies specialising in Islamic Studies. I spent a couple of years working at a national events company before working for four years at a national domestic abuse charity primarily focused on income generation within the Strategy and Development team.
I am a keen supporter of Bath Rugby, enjoy running and going to the gym and I am married with a young son.
Hannah Lees - Data & Knowledge Manager
E: [email protected] After graduating from Loughborough University in 1998 with a BA (Hons) in Information and Library Studies I worked in a variety of information management roles, developing databases, producing monitoring data, and reporting performance indicators. In 2006 I took two years out to travel the world and worked in Seoul for twelve months. After
which I spent three years as PA to the head of a leading UK independent school.
I live in Bath with my husband and our young twin sons. I also volunteer my time for Tamba (the Twins and Multiple Births Association) supporting parents of twins and triplets. Any spare moments I have are spent running.
Jeremy Carver - Tax & Accountancy Consultant
E: [email protected] I have recently completed my AAT studies and have now become MAAT registered. Further to this I will be pursing an ACA qualification to advance my knowledge in the finance sector. My previous work experience has not been related to finance but more sales management within the beauty industry which I did for ten years.
My personal interests are outdoor rock climbing in Cheddar which I try to do as often as I can (weather permitting), home DIY and travelling.
