A combina on of programs that support and assist students from
special popula ons.
Educational Equity Programs (EEP) Community Involvement
Program (CIP) : A comprehensive university-sponsored scholarship pro-gram for eligible local residents. Access program for entering stu-
dents only Promotes community service and
leadership development. Serves the educational needs of eli-
gible local low-income and first-generation students.
SUCCESS TRiO Program:
Retention service program for eligible students to increase retention, gradua-tion rates & enrollment in graduate/professional schools. Funded by a U.S. Department of
Education Student Support Ser-vices grant that serves students from low-income and first genera-tion college backgrounds
Services: include tutoring,, direct financial assistance, academic,
financial, personal and career coun seling
Students Emerging as Pacificans (STEPs): A transition program specifically designed for in coming African-American students.
Designed to enhance academic & personal success. Features a 2-day res-
idential, pre-college program.
Provides activities that continue throughout the en-tire year.
Pacific PROMISE Scholars:
Support for individuals who are, or were, foster, homeless or others without family support. Facilitates the students transition to Pacific. Gives a sense of belonging , a “home away from home”. Provides a coordi-
nated campus and community support and resource net-work.
Welcome to the Educational Equity Programs (EEP) at the Uni-versity of the Pacific! We are proud to offer a combination of programs to support students from special populations that include the follow-ing: low-income, first generation college, local students, incoming Af-rican American students, former foster care youth and other discon-nected students. We provide ser-vices designed to support your suc-cess from the time of your enroll-ment to graduation. This support includes scholarships, advising, mentoring, tutoring, leadership de-velopment, community service, stu-dent academic success interven-tions, and general program support.
