Cliff Honnas, DVM, DACVSDr. Cliff Honnas, Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1984from Colorado State University. He subsequently completed a one-year internship in Large Animal Medicine and Surgery at Texas A&MUniversity, followed by a three-year residency in Equine Surgery at the University of California — Davis, California. In 1988, he relocatedto Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he taught Equine Surgery at Louisiana State University. While at LSU, he became board certified in EquineSurgery. In 1989, he and his family moved to College Station, Texas to work at Texas A&M University as an Equine Orthopedic Surgeon.Dr. Honnas practiced at Texas A&M University for 19 years, and was a tenured full professor. Dr. Honnas had a very active clinical practiceat the university as well as an active consulting practice throughout the state of Texas.

Dr. Honnas and his wife, Lorie, live in Robertson County and have six children. They both were raised in Christian homes and acceptedJesus as their own personal Savior at early ages. They strived to raise their children in the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Their oldestdaughter, Audre, and her husband Daniel are both attorneys living in Memphis, Tennessee. The couple graduated from the RegentUniversity's School of Law in Virginia with Juris Doctor degrees. They are proud parents to their first child, Kahlan Elise, born November13, 2014. Mollie is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Master's degree from the Professional Program of Accounting at the MaysBusiness School, and received a minor in music. She is working as a CPA for Alvarez & Marsal Taxand, LLC in Houston, Texas. Henregraduated from Texas A&M in 2013 with a degree in Forensic Law and was also a member of the Corps of Cadets for four years. InDecember 2016, he was married to Lexi and they are now residing in London, England where he is attending the Royal VeterinaryCollege. In May 2017, Cheri received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University and is completing a smallanimal internship at Blue Pearl Georgia Veterinary Specialists in Atlanta, Georgia. Kenny is a junior at Texas A&M University pursuing adegree in nutrition and will be applying to medical school after graduation. Jesse was recruited by Harding University in Searcy, Arkansasto play running back and is a sophomore studying pre-medicine.

Cameron Stoudt, DVMDr. Cameron Stoudt joined Texas Equine Hospital in June 2009 after receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from OklahomaState University in 2009. During her time here, she completed a one-year internship and a three-year surgical residency.

As an undergraduate, Dr. Stoudt received a scholarship to play competitive tennis and was captain of the Women's Tennis Team at OSU.She was also the recipient of the Lorenz Family Scholarship and the Al Bradley Memorial Scholarship. In the summers during college, Dr.Stoudt enjoyed barrel racing and participating in the Back Country Horseman Association of Montana for extreme trail riding.

Raised in Montana, Dr. Stoudt is originally from Texas and came back as fast as she could! In May 2017, she was married to Dr. JoshDonnell, also a practicing equine veterinarian.

Dr. Stoudt has memberships with American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP), American Association of Bovine Practitioners(AABP), and the American Veterinarian Medical Association (AVMA).

Amanda Lawson, DVMDr. Amanda Lawson officially joined Texas Equine Hospital in June 2014 as an associate veterinarian after successfully completing a oneyear internship. She is accepting appointments and is also available to serve your mobile and ambulatory veterinary service needs. Mostappointments can be scheduled for same day service. She received her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science at the University of Tennesseeand was an active member in the Student Cattleman's Association and Block and Bridle. Dr. Lawson attended Ross University School ofVeterinary Medicine, then completed her senior clinical year at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She was also amember of the student chapter of AAEP.

She grew up in a small town in East Tennessee participating in 4-H and FFA. She loves spending time with her dogs, running, hiking, beingon the water, and anything outdoors!!

Shasta Smith, DVM, DACVSDr. Shasta Smith, Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, attended Iowa State University, College of VeterinaryMedicine and received her DVM in 2008. After graduation she completed a one year internship at Elgin Veterinary Hospital. She thencompleted a 3-year surgical residency at Oklahoma State University. In 2013, Dr. Smith became board certified in Equine Surgery andthen worked in private practice, and back at her alma mater, ISU, as the equine emergency surgeon. She joined the Texas Equine team inJuly 2015. Dr. Smith was born and raised in eastern Iowa where she grew up with horses. She rode and competed in various disciplines from a youngage. She was very active in 4-H and local saddle clubs, and competed on the intercollegiate horse team while attending Iowa State. Shemost enjoys working with young horses and always has a project horse around. Away from horses and veterinary medicine, Dr. Smithenjoys hanging out with her dogs and miniature donkeys, good music, gardening and the great outdoors.

Nathan Canada, DVM, MS, DACVSDr. Nathan Canada attended Oklahoma State University, Center for Veterinary Health Sciences and received his DVM in 2011. Aftergraduating, he completed a one year internship at Peterson and Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida. He then traveled to Kansas StateUniversity’s Veterinary Health Center for an additional year of training. During this time, he was selected to enter the equine surgeryresidency program at KSU. He completed his residency in July of 2016 and received his master’s degree in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences.He obtained diplomate status by passing all parts of the ACVS certification examination in February 2017.

Dr. Canada is originally from Yukon, Oklahoma. Growing up, he worked at a mixed animal clinic for over 10 years. In 2008, he marriedhis high school sweetheart, Lauren, and they have been blessed with 2 beautiful girls Peighton and Makinley. In his spare time, Dr. Canadaenjoys spending time with his girls, connecting with others through his local church, and anything that involves being outdoors, especiallyfishing.

Francisco Alvarez, DVM (Intern)Dr. Francisco Alvarez earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 2017. While at Texas A&M, hereceived the Aggie Spirit Award in recognition of outstanding courage and determination in the face of adversity. He also was the recipientof the Rodeo Austin Scholarship, and Externship, assisting rodeo veterinarians in the treatment of rodeo horses, rough stock, and showanimals.

Dr. Alvarez, originally from Baytown, Texas, moved to College Station in 2007 working at Texas A&M University as a Large AnimalSurgery Technician while taking classes in the evenings. In 2012, he graduated with his undergraduate degree in poultry science all thewhile raising a young family with the love and support of his wife Isabel. He and his wife have two children Andrew (9) and Alyssa (8).When not working, Dr. Alvarez enjoys spending time with family, hiking, camping and fishing.

Ashley Anderson, DVM (Intern)Dr. Ashley Anderson grew up on a hobby farm in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota where she was active in 4-H and FFA. She showed horses,sheep, goats, rabbits and poultry at the county and state fair levels. As an undergraduate at North Dakota State University in Fargo, shestudied animal science, equine studies and pre-veterinary medicine. She was a member of the University's National Intercollegiate RodeoTeam competing in barrel racing and breakaway roping.

After graduation in 2011, she worked at a daytime small animal hospital and small animal emergency hospital. In 2013, she beganveterinary school at Iowa State University where she was active in the AAEP student chapter and was the assistant coach for the Iowa StateUniversity Rodeo Team. She recently graduated in May 2017 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from ISU. After completing atwo-week externship at Texas Equine Hospital last May, she is very excited to return to Texas to start a year long internship as aveterinarian.

In her spare time, Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with her parents, significant other, Eric, and friends. She follows in the footsteps of herfather, Dr. Robert Anderson, who was a mixed animal veterinarian in Colorado for 20 years with the assistance of his vet tech and wife,Sandy. They reside in Minnesota along with, Eric, who also loves animals. Eric and Ashley have two dogs, Dodge and Foxy, two cats,Stella and Copper, and two horses, Lilly and Snooki. Eric can be found on the lake fishing in his spare time and he looks forward to visitingAshley in Texas during the next year.

Jeremiah Nichols, DVM (Intern)Dr. Jeremiah Nichols was born and raised in sunny southern California. Growing up, he was very active in 4-H and various other sportsuntil he roped his first steer. From then on he spent most of his time in a roping arena. He competed in high school and other junior rodeocircuits. After high school he went on to be a pre-vet major at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona where he met his wonderfulwife Stephanie. While at Cal Poly, Jeremiah competed on the rodeo team and worked at the universities' beef unit. Following graduationhe spent a year traveling with a bovine embryo transfer veterinarian based out of Oregon. In May 2017 he graduated from the Universityof Missouri with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.

In his spare time Dr. Nichols enjoys spending time with family, team roping, hunting, and fishing but in his mind nothing beats ropingcalves.
