I almost forgot to mention this great news, your board of directors has declared dividend rates are going up! Griffin King, grandson of Bob and Lorraine Simpson (MODOT). Griffin’s plans are to attend Murray State University and pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism.

We were thrilled to see everyone, both new and longstanding, at our Annual Meeting on Friday, March 23rd. The Oran Knights of Columbus once again cooked up a delicious feast. With the theme of “March Madness,” exciting prizes were awarded and new promotions announced. If you have not had a chance to review our Annual Report, you can download it from the website. We have increased our loan volume by nearly 30% while launching many new services for you, our most valuable asset! We couldn’t be more proud to be your credit union! If you were unable to attend the annual meeting, we regret you did not get the opportunity to meet the three very worthy recipients of our Highway Hero Honoree Scholarship. We had 17 well-qualified applicants and were relieved the panel at Southeast Missouri State University agreed to judge the applications and essays. It was stiff competition, we were relieved not having to make this most difficult decision.

In order to kick start the Highway Hero Honoree Scholarship foundation, we hosted the 1st annual Swing for the Green Golf Tournament held on Tuesday, May 8th at the Cape Jaycees Municipal Golf Course. 17 teams participated and a great time was had by all on one of the first really beautiful, warm days of the year.
