  • 1. Medieval European Murals In This PowerPoint I have chosen 2 examples to Medieval European Murals through location and the Artist.

2. Fresco by Dionouis representing Saint Nicholas in a Ferapontov Monastery In this Mural there are religious gestures shown(cross) so is important and especially If it was one man who took up the whole Mural(Saint Nicholas). The purpose of this Mural was to show how much power there is when youre a Saint. The historical Saint Nicholas is remembered and revered among Catholic and Orthodox Christians. He is also honoured by various Anglican and Lutheran churches. 3. In this mural religion is shown trough Catholics and Christians As a picture of A lord is shown. The purpose of this Mural was to show how much power there is when youre a Lord fro e.g. up in the clouds. Domenico di Michelino, La Divina Commedia di Dante (Dante and the Divine Comedy). Fresco in the nave of the Duomo of Florence, Italy. The background is very Medieval so the mural looks more real. Fresco in the church Mari Verkndigung in Fuchstal, Bavaria/ Germany 4. Why I choose DoesExamples?

  • I choose does two examples as both highlight the importance in Medieval times who to worship (Lord/ Saint), and also because of the power each mural had as each mural just showed one man. Another reason why I choose does two examples is to create a debate on feminism Men where more important then Women.
