2016 Half Ocho General Information Start: This 4 hour race will begin at 9:00 AM, Saturday, July 9th, 2016. Location: Near Lake Wingra in the heart of Madison, WI. Exact location to be announced once it’s found. Team Configurations: 3-4 person coed teams will be considered in the premier division for awards/final standings. All other teams (3-4 person same gender, 2 person coed/same gender, and solo racers) will be racing in the open division. 1st Basis Adventure Racing Series: This race is part of the 1st Basis Adventure Racing Series , Wisconsin’s premier race series featuring adventure races throughout the state and cash prizes totaling over $2,000. There is no fee to join the series, simply race any of the events and you’ll be automatically signed up. The more races your team competes in, the better chance you’ll have of taking home prizes . Compete in either the coed or open division in teams of 2, 3, or 4, and see how your team ranks against others in the midwest. Registration: deadline is Friday, July 1 st Cost: Entry fee includes land use fees, maps, tshirt, insurance, canoe rentals (including PFD’s and paddles), and post race snack and beverages.

1st Basis Adventure Racing Series:

This race is part of the 1st Basis Adventure Racing Series, Wisconsin’s premier race series featuring adventure races throughout the state and cash prizes totaling over $2,000.  There is no fee to join the series, simply race any of the events and you’ll be automatically signed up.  The more races your team competes in, the better chance you’ll have of taking home prizes.  Compete in either the coed or open division in teams of 2, 3, or 4, and see how your team ranks against others in the midwest.

Single racer: $70

Two Person team: $130

Three Person team: $180

Four Person team: $200

Flat water paddling

Road Biking

Orienteering/Trekking

Mystery events

Distances: are approximate based on route choice

4 hour:

Bike: 7-10 miles

Trek/run: 2-5 miles

Canoe: 1-2 miles

Refund Policy

75% refund up to July 1st, 2016

No refunds after July 1st

Teams that are a no show on race day will not be eligible for a refund.
