Chaotic Records and Reliance on Paid Search Before Valant started with HubSpot, the company had a hard time tracking and keeping records of its marketing initiatives. Soraya explained that they were keeping multiple spreadsheets of keywords and progress. Valant also faced an uncomfortable reliance on PPC ads.

S o l u t i o n : Integrated Optimization & Measurement Tools The HubSpot software enabled Valant to create integrated reports of different marketing channels and the progress they were making. Tracking and measurement tools, such as the Sources graph, the Keyword tracking and the Competitors tool, helped the company keep track of individual traffic sources. As Soraya said, “HubSpot is a way for us to do everything together, and HubSpot does the calculations for us.”

Lead Intelligence Captures Targeted Traffic

Valant also broke its reliance on paid search by expanding organic traffic and capturing targeted leads with HubSpot’s lead intelligence. Landing pages and lead nurturing helped the company design distinct strategies for specific types of leads.

Soraya incorporates email marketing to the current lead base and, thus, reengages with interested people. “We can see that the lead is back in the interest pool,” she said. Unsurprisingly, Valant’s email marketing reached the highest conversion rate from all different initiatives.

Valant’s successful use of lead nurturing helped the company increase its lead pool to the hundreds in the last three months. The lead base increased by 3150% from four leads in September to more than 130 in January.
