What is a Medical Mirror

• Medical Mirror is a mirror that lets us see our own heart rate.

• You can check a person’s vital signs — pulse, respiration and blood pressure — manually or by attaching sensors to the body.

The Issue That The Invention Attempts to have (Global/Local issue)

• Global Issue• Without the Medical Mirror people wouldn’t

be able to see their heart rate.• The global issue is that there are many people

was dying because of a heart attack but they just don’t know about it and they cannot prevent it because they don’t know how to detect it earlier.

How does the invention help solve the problem

• With the medical mirror in use, people can see their own heart rate so that people can know if they have some heart rate disease.

• You can check the heart rate just by putting a person in front of a low-cost camera such as a laptop computer’s built-in webcam.

How does the Medical Mirror work?• You can check the heart rate just by putting a person in front

of a low-cost camera such as a laptop computer’s built-in webcam.

• A single user will be able to use the mirror at a time. • When looking into the mirror, the user will see a box appear

around his/her face and a timer will be displayed on the top corner of the box.

• Users will be asked to stay still as the timer counts down. After 15 s, the user’s heart rate will be displayed on the mirror, allowing immediate picturing of his/her physical appearance and physiological state.

• The heart rate measurement will be updated endlessly until the user looks away.

Positive effect on People

• The positive effect of using the Medical Mirror on people is that so that people can check their own heart rate just by looking into the mirror.

Negative effect on People

• The negative effect of the Medical Mirror to people is that it is expensive to buy.

How the invention affect people around us

• One World Factor : social, economic, political, environmental, cultural, ethical.

• Social : The Medical Mirror affect the social because it can help many people to know and find out their heartbeat rate.

• Economic: Even if the medical mirror is expensive but it can also improve the economic because with the medical mirror people wouldn’t have to suffer some kind of heart disease anymore
