Transitional Year Residents

Our residents

Oakwood currently offers 12 transitional year residency positions, 4 of which are filled by categorical residents from our radiology program. Our residents come from many different medical schools and go on to residency programs both near and far. Our program elects two chief residents. The residents for the 2015-2016 academic year are Christopher Henry and Sruthi Renati.

Allison Billi, MD University of Michigan Allison will be going on to Dermatology residency at the University of Michigan. Felix Boucher, MD Wayne State University Felix will be going on to Radiology residency at the University of Michigan. Michael Connolly, MD Medical College of Wisconsin Michael will be going on to Radiology residency at the University of Michigan. Christopher Henry, MD Chief Resident Ross University Christopher will be staying on at Oakwood Hospital in the Radiology residency program. Andy Jedrzejczyk, MD St. George’s University Andy will be staying on at Oakwood Hospital in the Radiology residency program. David Oberlin, MD Wayne State University David will be going on to Dermatology residency at Henry Ford Hospital.

Christopher Orlang, MD Ross University Christopher will be staying on at Oakwood Hospital in the Radiology residency program. Sruthi Renati, MD Chief Resident Harvard Medical School Sruthi will be going on to Dermatology residency at the University of Michigan. Angela Verkade, MD University of Michigan Angela will be going on to Ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Alex Woehlke, DO Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Alex will be staying on at Oakwood Hospital in the Radiology residency program. Andrew Wong, MD University of Cincinnati Andrew will be going on to Radiology residency at UC Davis Medical Center. Shuang (George) Zhao, MD University of Michigan George will be going on to Radiation Oncology residency at the University of Michigan.
