QUALITY SURGICENTERACHIEVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION & ACCREDITATION

The Quality Surgicenter has been awardedthe certificate of accreditation by theAccreditation Association for AmbulatoryHealth Care, Inc. (AAAHC) for the THIRDTIME, according to Dr. Ahmed E. Elahmady,a board certified Gastroenterologist andHepatologist and the Medical Director of thefacility. The award means that the QualitySurgicenter has met nationally recognizedstandards for quality health care set by theAccreditation Association for AmbulatoryHealth Care. AAAHC usually gives accredita-tion for 6 months, a year, or a maximum ofthree years. The Quality Surgicenter achievedthe highest goal of accreditation of 3 years forthe THIRD TIME, “As we always indicated,our facility was built from foundation to finishwith our patient in mind with absolute commit-ment to excellence in patient care arena,” saidDr. Elahmady.

In order to achieve accreditation, The QualitySurgicenter underwent an extensive on-sitesurvey of its facilities and services. The surveyfindings resulted in the highest favorable deci-sion ever given to any ambulatory surgery cen-

ter WITH NO AREAS OF DEFICIENCYas per AAAHC report. Dr. Elahmady indicat-ed that even though we are accredited by sev-eral insurance companies and other govern-ment and state agencies, he felt that we shouldgo the extra mile to achieve national recogni-tion as well.

Not all ambulatory health care organizationsseek accreditation and not all who undergosuch a meticulous survey receive a favorabledecision. But the Quality Surgicenter had thehighest degree of evaluation. The AAAHCpresident, Roy Grekin, M.D. said, “The dedica-tion and effort necessary to achieve suchaccreditation is substantial and the QualitySurgicenter is to be commended for this accom-plishment.”
