Initial ideas

We started to look for a song that was different, and not typically of a pop genre.

Something we can be creative with, possibly come up with an interesting and original narrative.

Songs we considered

Placebo – Song To Say Goodbye Snow Patrol- Signal Fire The Fray- Heartless The Fray- Never say Never Thom Yorke- Harrowdown Hill Lykke Li- Until We Bleed

Song choice- Thom Yorke- Harrowdownhill The Artist- Lead vocalist of

alternative rock band Radiohead. He has been cited among the most influential figures in the music industry

Existing video of the song

Symbol of Bird- freedom. People changing and moulding the bird to what they want it to be- No freedom.

Aerial shots, using a smallgantics technique, gives a surreal feeling and that everything is small. Time lapse shots of landscapes and clouds symbolises the passing of time and no change.

Protesters, thought provoking.

Our Ideas

Shows the perspective of a single person, how the world’s problems affect them.

Parts of the video played backwards, starts off at the end, finishes with the start.

Similar video concept in a Casting Crowns video ‘Slow Fade’.

What to do next

Research more into music videos of the same artist.

Storyboard ideas. Think of actors, location, props. Experiment with different editing

techniques (changing the colour and tone of the video, slow and fast motion)
