Prasar Bharti is a statutory autonomous body eastablished under Prasar Bharti Act had came into existence on 23 rd November 1997.

It is the Public Service Broadcaster of the country.

Prasar Bharti(broadcasting corporation of India)Act

25,1990.Act came into force in 1997.

This act contains Prasar Bharti’s composition,functions and powers.

It also tells us about the other matters related to Prasar Bharti.

Prasar Bharti Ammendment ACT,2011.

This act introduced in Rajya Sabha in the August 2010.

This bill is for making ammendments for the existing Prasar Bharti Act,1990.
