Introduction

If you are reading this document, it means you are interested in the Rallye du Maroc media coverage

and with good reason!

Performance is awarded in all categories; in particular we will know whom the winners of the FIA world

cup and the FIM World Championship are!

The course of the 2019 edition will be adapted according to the categories, for the pleasure of the

competitors and for their safety. Yes, it’s a technical route… so of course there will be navigation, a

major feature of the discipline.

Another characteristic… the bivouac. A unique and quality space in the middle of the desert, unique due

to its atmosphere and because there will be only one!

All families of the Rallye can meet to share a drink, a meal, to exchange experiences, for an interview…

Conviviality will always be a key word for the organization of the Rallye du Maroc!

In the bivouac, workspaces and equipment will be set up and dedicated to media.

We thank you ahead of time for letting us know your internet connection needs far in advance, so we

are able to set up the proper connection capacity.

This year, you will have access to clear and precise information, helping you to work on the course:

Media Road-books, specific documents to access media points, and daily briefings.

It is still possible this year, by reservation, to access the course in a car dedicated by the organization to

the media.

Live coverage of the Rallye will be more dynamic, with more videos and pictures. You will receive

information quickly and easily in the bivouac pressroom or wherever you are!

Investments, improvements, novelties… for covering the event under the best conditions!

ACCREDITATION « PERSONS »

1. TYPES OF ACCREDITATIONS « PERSONS »

A) Print media, Internet (text and photo), radio or photographer (press title or agency)

Any journalist or photographer, applying for accreditation for the 2019 Rallye du Maroc, must present a

valid press card, as well as a letter of engagement from the editor or signed service manager indicating

names, functions and assignments.

In the event that a journalist or photographer does not have a press card, he will have to present, 5

published and signed articles for journalists or 5 published and signed photos for photographers.

B) TV / Internet (video)

Any journalist or video team, applying for accreditation for the Rallye du Maroc 2019, will have to

present a valid press card, as well as a mission letter from the editor, service manager, head of the

sports site or the television channel, signed and indicating names, functions and missions.

In the context of a documentary, the same letter will be requested signed by the producer or equivalent.

It will also be necessary to provide a brief description of the documentary, as well as the broadcast

intentions obtained: [email protected]

If an accredited media needs images, end-to-end images or programs produced by the organization,

before, during or after the Rally, a written request must be made to: [email protected]

C) Press Attaché

The organization understands press attaché to mean, any person officially representing a manufacturer,

an official team, a sponsor bearing the same name as his team and not being assimilated either to a

journalist, nor to a team manager, nor to a mechanic...

The same team or constructor may engage several press attachés, within the limits of the available

spots.

D) Community manager

The community manager must provide a mission letter from a brand manager, team or media

representative, who he or she will represent in the Rallye, indicating names, functions and assignments.


2. REQUESTS, CLOSURE AND WITHDRAWAL OF ACCREDITATION « PERSONS»

We thank you in advance for filling in your requests with the information and forms provided on the

official website for the Rallye du Maroc.

All media accreditation requests should be sent:

- Before September 18th, 2019

- To [email protected]

Mandatory information, to be filled in the media accreditation request form, as follows:

• Title of the Media,

• Type of Media,

• Last names, first names of the staff,

• Dates of presence,

• Type of cover,

• Copy of press card,

• Copy of mission letter

• Specify:

o Press Room -> work exclusively in the press room

o Media Vehicle (see below)

o Orga Media vehicle (see below)

o Vehicle Assistance (see below)

Media whose accreditation applications have been validated will be able to retrieve their accreditations

on October 3, all day and on October 4, 2019, before noon, from the organization, in the pressroom, at

the Marriott Hotel in Fes.

Once issued, the accreditation must be carried and be made permanently visible, in media, Orga Media

or Assistance vehicles and in the bivouac.

3. PRESS ROOM

A dedicated and equipped space (secure and reserved access with tables, chairs, lighting, electrical

outlets, connections...), accessible to all holders of Media accreditation issued by the organization.

The pressroom will be open from October 3rd to 9th, as follows:

- Hotel Marriott, Fes, the 3rd, 4th and 9th of October 2019, from 8h00 till 20h00, TBC.

o On the 4th until noon

o On the 9th from 13h00 until 22h00, TBC.

o At the bivouac, on the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th of October 2019, from 8h00 till 22h00, TBC.


4. INTERNET CONNECTION IN PRESS ROOM

As the pressroom is a place of work it is requested that accredited media working there, use the

connection pressroom, only in the framework of the mission, which was assigned to them for the Rallye.

The internet connection in the pressroom will be

- By satellite, hotel WIFI or 4G in FES

- By satellite only at the bivouac

Each accredited media employee wishing to use this connection will have to submit an estimate of up-

load / download requirements to the organization by September 18th, so that the organization can best

meet the needs.

Each particular connection request (e.g. radio line, dedicated segment for sending heavy files…) must be

the subject of a specific request to the organization before 18th of September 2019.

Each person or accredited team is required to come with their own equipment, insured at their own

expense (insurance, equipment, computers or printers, power cables or multiple plugs will not be

provided by the Organization)

The Rallye du Maroc is The Test Rally before the Dakar, where Dakar innovations will be put into place.

As we say to participants:

If competitors want to discover the discipline, to have a good time, to compete against the best, to rank

well in the FIM world championship, or at the FIA world cup, to make their last tests before the 2020

Dakar, or all of the above, the Rallye du Maroc is the pace to be from the 3rd until the 9th of October,

2019!

B/ During the Rally

At a later date we will inform you of all available means which will be set up during the Rallye for the

access of all information.


6. ARRIVAL AT SPECIAL SECTOR

An interview area is reserved for accredited media, at the arrival of each special. However, it will be

necessary to respect an order of priority:

1. The organisations production

2. Partner Media

3. Press Attaches

4. Other Media

In this area in particular, the accredited media needing to take photos (photographer, community

manager...) and the media making the videos are required to operate, in good faith.

7. ACCESS MARATHON STAGE

In order to be taken into consideration, all applications for access to the marathon bivouac must be

submitted to the organization, through [email protected] before October 4, 2019 at noon,

Rallye Time. These authorizations are nominative and individual.

Media accredited to enter the Marathon bivouac, do not have the right to "touch" the vehicles, nor to

help pilots in any way, under penalty of expulsion. Closed parks will not be accessible.

No accredited Team Media Member or Senior Team Sponsor will be allowed on these stages.

8. ACCOMMODATIONS AND CATERING

The organization does provide accommodation for accredited media in the bivouac.

Camping space can be booked, but in that case you must bring your own camping material (tent,

sleeping bag, beds…)

You can also book tents of one to four beds, depending on availability and budget.

Meals are planned as follows:

- On the 3rd and 4th no meals provided by the organization

- from the 5th at lunch, to the 9th breakfast all meals are included in the Media registration:

breakfast, lunch (including rations or lunch bags for people on the track, to be ordered through the

form), and dinner.

10. ACCREDITAION OF MEDIA VEHICLES

All media accreditation requests should be sent to: [email protected]

To accredit a Media vehicle, you must:

- Submit the list of accredited passengers (having met the requirements), with media title and

position, to be provided before 21 September 2019

- Four (for 4x4 vehicles, 5 doors) maximum accredited car media,

- Two, maximum, for all other vehicles

- Appoint a vehicle manager and the driver (s) of the vehicle

- If the vehicle does not belong to one of the crewmembers, the written permission of the owner

to use the vehicle is mandatory

- Gray card - Registration

- Green Certificate of Insurance Card

- A space available on the doors, the windshield and at the front of the vehicle for the vehicle

plates/ stickers

- Proof that the vehicle is equipped with security equipment, which is mandatory (installation at

scrutineering on October 3rd or October 4th before noon only)

- Proof of payment of participants for organizational expenses

All documentation must be provided before September 18th 2019.

On October 3rd and 4th, 2019, in Fez, at the press room, for media which have fulfill all necessary

information, the organization will give plate number for vehicle.

During the Rally, all information for the next stage (road books, notes…) will be given the day before at a

precise time.

Changes of passengers after October 4, 2019, noon Rally Time will be allowed. You need to tell the

organization for approval.

If an Accredited person of the media has to leave the vehicle, the vehicle can continue, provided there

are at least two passengers left, and the organization is informed. This member cannot, under any

circumstances, be replaced.

There is no fuel available for the vehicles at the bivouac. We will provide the location for the closest gas

station.


11. ORGA MEDIA VEHICLES

This service allows Media Accredited subscribers to use this service, to ride in a dedicated Orga vehicle,

driven by an Orga driver, to the special media points, as well as to the departures and special arrivals.

12. MEDIA ACCREDITATION IN ASSISTANCE VEHICLES

An accredited media member may apply for a seat in an assistance vehicle.

The concerned Team will have to confirm the reception of the accredited Media, specifying the vehicle

in which he/she will be transported.

Team and Accredited Media will have to commit in writing to comply with the rules of non-assistance

described below in 13. A)

13. RULES TO BE STRICTLY RESPECTED

A) Non-assistance to competitors

In accordance with the various Bike-Quad and Auto-SSV-Truck regulations, any person benefiting from

Media accreditation for the Rallye must in no way provide any assistance to a competitor in the race:

transport of parts, supply of fuel, transport of bivouac equipment, mechanical intervention, etc. ... at the

risk of being excluded from the rally with disqualification of the competitor concerned.

On this point, special attention will be given to the press officers and team community managers or the

main sponsors of the teams.

However, in cases where the crew of a competitor's vehicle is in difficulty, or is unable to clear the track,

the occupants of a Media vehicle must provide assistance, only in a case where the situation would put

the smooth running of the race in danger.

Before any action, the press vehicle must obligatorily notify the Organization of the situation.

B) Behavior

All accredited media must behave respectfully both on the road and in person with authorities and the

Moroccan population, competitors, other accredited media and staff of the organization. This is

common sense and is to protect the image of the Rallye as well as the Media represented.

Any incivility found will result in a withdrawal of accreditation.


C) Code of the road, crossing of inhabited areas in off-piste, circulation within Bivouac

Media accredited in Media vehicles must respect the rules of circulation in force in Morocco. Each

accredited person declared as a driver, must take recognition of these rules.

All reported the local authorities would manage infractions. In this matter, no indulgence or

intervention of the Organization is to be expected.

It is expressly requested to adopt the greatest vigilance for the crossing of any inhabited area accessible

off-road. In the event of an accident, the accredited Media vehicle and person concerned will be handed

over to the local authorities.

Given the concentration of people and vehicles, as well as the intense activity in a bivouac it is

requested to circulate at a safe speed and with the greatest vigilance.

D) Environment

In this matter, any accredited Media must have a responsible attitude:

- In the bivouacs, all waste must be deposited in the various collection areas provided for this

purpose, in the pressroom (once you finish working, make sure your space is clean), in the restaurant

and competitors areas.

- In vehicles, keep waste until you return to the bivouac and then drop it in the different

collection areas provided for this purpose

- In case of tire change, return used tires to the bivouac

- In the event of mechanical work on a Media vehicle, before leaving, check that all waste has

been collected and deposited in the areas provided for in the Bivouac.

In case of non-compliance with these basic rules, the accredited Media is liable to sanctions, up to and

including expulsion.


14. MEDIA MANAGEMENT AND PARTICIPATION IN ORGANIZATION COSTS
